Can hardly market it or even let CCFC back in if it isnt fit for purpose

If they left it in the state it was TF would no doubt be saying we can't play there because it isnt fit to play on............ kind of takes that argument out of the equation if the pitch is looked after properly

Just to be clear the maintenance of the pitch was always a cost to be paid for by CCFC

Football or no football; they still have a pitch they need to maintain.

If / when a takeover happens, CCFC will return to play football at the Ricoh, groundsman already in situ!

Would this be the same CCFC who have a leader in Tim Fisher, who said on the radio that he always means what he says and then sits back and wonders why ACL took his liquidation threat seriously.:facepalm:

If ACL didn't previously have their own groundstaff who prepared the pitch for things like the olympics and rugby games? that wouldn't be down to CCFC as it's nothing to do with them.

SISU said it yes but ACL/CCC have been quite open when saying they want CCFC playing at the Ricoh.

Fisher is trying to spin the situation to SISU's advantage by making ACL/CCC to be the bad guys in this.

He's hoping the fans will buy into what he says about ACL refusing SISU access to the ground and therefore more accepting of his proposed bid to groundshare while building a new stadium.

It's also a way of trying to dupe the FL into giving SISU their support and approval instead of ACL/CCC and any proposed buyers not linked to SISU.

It's all bollocks though as has been rightly pointed out in several threads over the past few weeks...

the rugby semi finals were during the season a couple of years back weren't they? Also most pitches are relayed over the summer so having events during the close season will also impact on the groundsman's work.

PWKH said that ACL have a responsibility to protect the pitch and do so at concerts. At the RHCP they had some hard covering down to protect the pitch and I assume that they use this for all the concerts. No idea about the rugby though, isn't our pitch partly artificial though which should help mitigate damage.
