Nothing new here is there?

SISU have told them what they want in return for dropping legals, surely they should be calling SISU's bluff and helping them find land knowing full well no new stadium will be built.

Well that statement won’t wind Sisu up will it, just a guess but somehow think they won’t be doing either

It just reads as if it wants to get everybody on the "sell the Hoffman" shout.

Interesting he is pointing that out...

Notice how it says SISU aren't being specific in regards to the new stadium site, more bullshit from sisu

The council have already said they were talking about a specific site haven't they?

"They also said that if Sisu are invested in building a new stadium for the football club then they need to be more "specific" about the details and that "any accusation that the council is being obstructive or treating them differently is unfounded and untrue".

It says:

We encourage Sisu to be more specific with us about planning and enablement of the development of a new stadium

Maybe somebody can just ask them about the Butts example so Duggins can clear that one up properly?

Bit of a shit letter though, just going over what they've said already. They must be under instructions from lawyers to say as little as possible.

Council and wasps in a corner this is very desperate statement trying to get the everyone behind Hoffman train. It seems obvious to me that Sisu simply don’t want to sell or if they do have a price (whether you believe that price is inflated or not) Hoffman cannot match that price. So all this letter does for me is hardens sisu’s stance on distressing both council and wasps and pushes us even more likely into a result no one wants either groundshare or worse.

I'm really surprised a the last line, it is tantamount to blackmail. Surely the council's legal team would have looked at it though?

The Hoffman group have asked Sisu to sit down with them and discuss any possible deal with them they won't If they don't want to sell then they can say so .As for the council and Wasps being in a corner. They are not the ones having to move the club with the inherant losses that will ensue. (IF we did get promotion look at all the potential local derby money we would miss out on)For what it's worth I think wasps will probably find new tenants and move on I don't see how the Council can do a lot Sisu submit an application and The Council look at it. Sisu have had the last 5 or 6 years to try and build a stadium and so far nothing

But the Council could have called on SISU, CCFC and Wasps to do a short term deal to avoid what could be the end of CCFC.
They did not, they chose to go for the option which they know is least likely to happen.
The Council are siding with those who want rid of SISU and don't actually care about what happens to CCFC as long as SISU are gone.

I would like to see SISU gone but more than that I want to see CCFC survive.

It's not about the past, it's about the future

It's playing into SISU's hands and what they have been saying for the past few years.

To be fair I think they’ve said several times they don’t want to sell. Who do you think the new tenants would be at the Ricoh to cover the losses of losing CCFC? The council in that letter are basically yeh submit your proposal and we will be impartial but yeh those pesky barriers can be a problem don’t blame us if it’s rejected. Certainly not an encouragement for Sisu to drop legals and more of an attempt to force a sale. For me they are doing this because it is causing both them and wasps financial problems hence my backed into corner view. I just as much as everyone else want Sisu to go but I just can’t see how open letters like this from the council help the situation whatsoever it just makes it ten times worse.

They said the offer was derisory this time so maybe they are ready to listen if so name a ballpark figure they could and hoffman know wether there is a possible deal i don't know who the tenants might be but nobody seen Wasps coming. The site thing all these barriers as you call them come up whenever a large developement like aout of town shopping area or a housing estate are built.( traffic. parking. sewers).Too true it is causing the Council problems and they just want to get on with running the city.

Another pointless statement, people can make as many statements as they want to try make themselves look the good party the facts are their all scumbags & we are probably heading for a groundshare till wasps crash & burn.

And there was me thinking they were just trying to fuck the football club over.

Sounds like the buffoons at the council are acting as equaly poorly as the buffoons at SISU do.
...and so we keep going round in circles.

Isn't there a decision coming down from the court shortly?
