Dad, why did you make me support the City? (1 Viewer)

This was a question posed by my son who is now living in Manchester. "Why didn't you let me support Man U?" he asked.

"Well, for one thing, it's a good job I didn't as you now live in Manchester, and everybody knows that to support ManUre you can't actually live in Manchester".

But the real explanation is that you support the first team your dad takes you to see, and this should be the team belonging to the city or town of your birth. This is what these b:censored:s from Odious/SISU don't understand.

We have now lived outside of the city for some 25 years now - I am 60 and he is 34 and we both still bleed sky blue. What will we do if our club is no more???

Stop going to games would be a start. Just think of what you could do with all the money us exiled supporters spend. At least I wouldn't have to pretend to my wife it only costs me about £100 a game :p

Our club will survive though. We are just in a slightly challenging period ATM.
