Read loads about how our team is not very good and that the squad that Robins is inheriting is useless.

Obviously proof is in the pudding and under Slade we looked terrible to a man!

I don't believe however that Robins is getting a crap squad of players.

For this division we have quite a few good players and a decent enough squad to do well under a decent manager.

You only have to look at the likes of Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers to see what is possible.

Against the top clubs we've hardly been hammered this season. Late goals against Utd, Fleetwood and Bolton cost us decent results . It's the motivation to beat the lesser sides that has been our downfall.

Let's hope Robins is the right manager for these players and gets the sort of performance out of them that we deserve!

Lets get the ball back on the ground, use width to either create chances or keep possession and see games out. We hoof the ball and panic in the last ten mins when we should just slow the game down like all decent teams do. Robins is no fool.

The squad is clearly where it deserves to be.

We've had 3 managers and if you extrapolate their results over a full season you get this;

Mowbray - 28 points bottom
Venus - 46 points - certainly bottom 4
Slade - 26 points bottom

All players are capable of the odd blip of form but the reality is 3 managers have failed to produce any sustainable form - in fact without the form in October (the blip) we'd have the lowest points on record.

So the results regardless of style of play and personnel are the same - abysmal.

Away from home it's a disaster. Since the 5-0 win against Crewe 13 months ago we've recorded two wins.

Whatever statistic you pull out it says the same thing - this is a relegation squad.

The stats don’t lie, and we’ve been proven to be by far the least effective team in the division all season. But they’ve basically played without an experienced keeper or decent strikers the whole time. A badly-performing team doesn’t necessarily mean the squad has to be replaced wholesale, it might only take 3 or 4 key players to turn it around.

You tapped into something there with Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers, you can add Burton, Northampton all to that list too, even Bournemouth whose squad still has heros from league one.
These are clubs that have all achieved success in recent times and and we're tight galvanised teams that fought there way out of league two or one in Bournemouths case together, new players that have come in have brought into the existing players philosophy's, new managers used that nucleus of the group to lift and carry on in troubled times or another winning campaign.
We don't have any of that, kids and a revolving door of waste players. There nothing ever built and its spiralling down so new players come in to club with no philosophy or direction no stability
