After what we've had to put up with, if his investors chuck us a couple of million for players, we'll love him forever!

not so sure football fans work like that sadly.

1/ Takes over promising xyz
2/ Realises bitten off more than he can chew
3/ Puts out statement saying we need to be frugal
4/ Sells best players to service ongoing debts
5/ Buys no hopers from lower leagues
6/ Renamed Orange Hoff
7/ Sells us to Cash Converters

But if I thought that cynically I'd have given up, Macca-and trust me, it's been getting close of late!

I'm happy enough to be in the "anyone but SISU" camp. We've got to give someone else a chance, and someone who loves the club fronting the offer is enough of an improvement for me over these blood-sucking vultures.

so its down to Hoff to make a decent offer and stop pissing about in the casino, he's a businessman, he knows the score

He is a businessman macca, and maybe he knows admin is coming at the end of the season relegation or not. This may suit him and his investors better as they get the club debt free and the money they do have can be used on the team and stadium rather than servicing the debt. i'm not a businessman but thats what i'd be waiting for. All conjecture on my part of course.

does anyone really doubt that SISU will go once a genuine offer comes in

I think Sisu will only go when they got an offer for all there money back, which just ain't gonna happen.

The club just isn't worth it.

Sisu will realise nobody will give them their money back soon enough.

As everyone is saying... sell of the remaining assets in Jan.

Giving players long contracts is a way of putting value on the assett sheet - ie making money.

Are people still setting hopes on hoffman? I think he proved his point a few months back when he withdrew his bid, he has no backers, he is another joe dhinsa!

Stupid comparing him to Dhinsa. He has done very bug jobs. He has just been appointed by the Premiuer League, FA and government to Chair the Football Foundation. So he has a gr8 reputation which can only get worse by trying to do what he is doing. He loves the club that's why he is doing it. No other reason. If he did not have backers why would he say he has? He has not lied just been naive in thinking SiSU would keep confidential.

When he proves he has backers with money, ill start to believe things, atm I'm going to be pro sisu as they are the only ones that want to invest in us

So who were the ones to invest 7mil at the end of last season just to keep us going? They might not be investing on the pitch but they're keeping our club afloat, without them we'd have been dead and buried a long time ago, its not they're fault we need to reach 20,000 each week to break even, blame the people who won't spend 22 quid on a match ticket twice a month but will happily spend 50 quid on a sky subscription to watch man utd every sunday!

they are not investing but keeping the club afloat  the only reason is they want some of there money back as for investing 7 million ?? yeah right wheres the money from players sales gone? loans secured against predicted seaon ticket sales training ground mortaged. thats not investment thats securing loans and adding more debt. fans wont turn up because theres no investment in the team and results show that, constant lies by onyi and orange ken, assulting fans searching children for banners all add to a welcoming family club :facepalm:

Correct me if im wrong OSB ;) but arent transfer fees (or valuations), the balance sheet items and therefore assets, and the contracts are a liability especially those to bell (4 years !!!!!!!!!!), mcsheffrey and macpake.

They want to invest in us? You sure? You sure you don't mean they are looking for investors to invest in us?

Unless we buy a player in (eg Cody) no value is included on the balance sheet for contract extensions (Bell McPake etc) nor does offering youngsters a contract add anything to the balance sheet.

The liabilities to pay the contracts until termination are there but not included on the balance sheet. If say we terminated Bells contract next week he would be entitled to have it paid up the value (unless negotiated or clause otherwise) is the difference between the total contract (4 years at say £5k pw ) less what has already been paid

The only way that there is true value in having a player is in selling that player nothing to do with giving a contract. Lets be honest how many of our players are saleable currently ?

Bell - 12p
McShuffty - 27p
McPake - Nothing
Clinagn - 300,000
Juke - 700,000
Cranie - 400,000.

I'd say the market value of the following would be:
Juke - 1million
Cranie - 1.5million
Clingan - 800,000
Wood - 600,000
Keogh - 500,000
Thomas - 500,000
Bigirimana - 500,000
McPake - 300,000
Baker - 100,000
Bell - 50,000
McSheffrey- 50,000
Eastwood - 100,000
Deegan - 50,000
Cameron - 100,000
Christie - 500,000
Murphy - 300,000
Dunn - 200,000

Almost certainly SISU will sell at a 50% discount so halve these prices in January...

Wood will go in Jan thats a cert. Craine i think will stay. Juke will probably go Middlesbrough. Clingan will follow suit and go Leeds.

Sorry but Hoffman has been telling people "any minute now" for months. I'll get excited when he stops talking an puts other peoples money where his mouth is.

False hope is almost worse than no hope. Until we see something concrete he's another Dhinsa in my book.

I hope to god its true but have had enough rumour and speculation to last a lifetime. Either come up with a sensible offer and submit it professionally or stay quiet until you can. I get the feeling his great plan is to stoke the fires of unrest at the club in the hope it forces SISUs hand. Well it obviously aint working.

So you don't think a season and a half of Championship football has raised Juke and Keoghs value? Because thats what we paid for them.

Wood is being touted around and has been without Thorn knowledge,, now you dont have to believe me but i told you lot about Parnaby weeks before the telegrapgh reported it so take it as you will.... But wood will be off the wage bill in Jan if this current board are in control and a offer comes in...

So everyone on a public form knows that's Wood has been touted around but Thorn doesn't know?

And who told you this? "A mate", perchance?

They've taken near 11m in player sales, they are only drip feeding the clubs ruunning costs, if they didn't they'd be ggone long ago

I think that's exactly what the plan is schmmeee.

I imagine it's hard enough trying to get anyone to invest in CCFC so the only option he has is to try to weaken SISU's bargaining power.

Two things will hurt them the most.
1) Gate receipts
2) Public image and reputation

It's no coincidence that on the eve of planned protests they bring out 'positive' club statements.

If we want a change of ownership everyone needs to respond to Hoffman's rallying cry and cause as much unrest as possible - if only we had more Brinners...

How about you stop being such a WUM and actually contribute? Oh wait, you're a Leicester fan..frankly, I'm amazed that you can type, what with the lack of opposable digits. Well done you!
