Simple answer... You don't. Take them!

The only way this club survives is having them go... I appreciate that 80% of these 'I won't go' people never go anyway.

I think they are expecting us to believe that their precious child had this reaction when they heard the news that Coventry City had left the Ricoh Arena. The truth is the child probably doesn't care less that we will play our games in Birmingham next season and the parent is just seeking some much needed attention on social media. Let’s face it, if distance didn’t matter, we would take 8k to all away games.

For others it would be a name change to Warwickshire F.C., for others it will be something else, including on the field performances.

The last move caused us to lose a lot of fans, especially some from the next generation. this one will be the same and the longer it goes on without an end in sight, the more damage it will do.

I struggle to see a way back.

It either needs Wasps to do a complete 180 or a new stadium.

The council seem to be unwilling to do anything but the absolute minimum required by law when it comes to a new stadium. That means if, and its a huge if, SISU actually are going to build a stadium we could be looking at 10 years or more before it's built. Look at other clubs who have tried building a new stadium without the support of their local council.

My understanding of Brandon is:

• RBC have been firm in their desire for Brandon to remain a speedway stadium.
• The speedway team were expecting to stay there, and had a lease to do so. Indeed, I went to meets where the promoters said in no uncertain terms that rumours about the football club building a ground there were false, and unwelcome.
  
• The owners of Brandon want to build houses on it. They have no desire to sell it for a football stadium.

Discussions between RBC and CCFC were never formal, never on record beyond enquiries about sites for a training ground. They did indeed speak informally, about land opportunities for a football stadium in a general sense, and little progress was made. These talks were also rather hastily arranged after the FOI requests started going in - we're talking March 2015.

When we were getting relegated from the Prem my mate – who lives in South London – took his 8yo lad to his first game and our last Prem game.

He spent the next few years coming to Highfield Road and then the Ricoh, spending the pre-match in the corner of the pub reading fanzines and sipping coke.

Fast forward a few years and he’s been to college, got a job and is buying rounds. We’re going out after games, celebrating or commiserating.

Take your kid to the match. They’ll love you forever.
