forced to land up in Northampton. Its becoming an epidemic

I wonder if the local constabulary remonstrated with the pilot for landing on the public highway like they did my son for errantly missing a beach ball on ' the hill' as it drifted towards the road.....probably not!

LOL, wingy read all the Biggles books too.. f**k me they were still being published when I was reading them.. & I wasn't even a teenager then, but I remember walking up to Willenhall library & lending them as each new one hit the shelves...

Johns was still writing Biggles stories when he died on 21st June 1968.
