Sorry for the delay in replying, but how about one from our trips to Londo in the late sixties/early seventies :-

"Went down to London win or lose,
Picked on a Cockney, got chased by the screws,
We all love women and we all love booze,
We are the mental Sky Blues"

    or

"Whose that knocking on the window?
whose that knocking on the door?
It's Bill McGarry and his mob, selling Dougan for a bob
and they won't beat The City anymore"

You can really see that Wolves were our big rivals in the songs from the 60's/70's.
Great name Red house coaches btw! How I look back on those trips with such affection and yet at the same time I must have spent so much time in fear during those days. Some stories I can tell!!!

I tried on so many occasions to get "Ndlovu, Ndlovu will tear you apart, again" going in the early '90's but it was met with mainly bemusement from my fellow supporters who clearly were unable to twiddle the knob on the radio from the settings for Mercia sound/CWR.

Yep, Wolves were the real enemy - see 'Dougans on the Western front' etc. and yes, as a 12,13,14 year old, went to away matches on the coach, Wolves, Sheffield U, Leicester, Forest, Leeds etc. No segregation, I spent most of the time scared witless!

Not a song but randomly was thinking the other day about every game in the Terrace when the opposition goalie would come jogging up and they would get a polite gentle round of applause only to be hit with a couple of hundred wanker signs if they were silly enough to clap back.

Amazing over the years how many fell for it.

But why do you feel the need to demoralise the oppositions fans?

Think about how YOU feel when sitting at home while the city are away - & they lose. Not demoralised enough??? Do you need your missus to come along & say shit or sing songs to kick you while you're down? No you probably need her to put her mouth around your c...Yours & make it all seem alright in the grand scheme. That probably makes her deep good too...knowing that you feel ok even in such a demoralised state. It helps you move on.

    Why rub salt into wounds???

Part of the reason I supported Cov. Lived in Bloxwich where it was probably mostly Wolves...I just wanted to be different & got a chance. The rest is history

Ironically my only real encourage ter with football hooliganism was a Wolves fan in the West End (I may have known the bastard too!) as he ran away...he booted me up the arse running away to escape & didn't stop to see if I was going to accept his offer of a draw at sunrise

I remember being on the kop in the early 70's when the away fans were to the left of us. Home to Wolves and this lad
in front of us in the Cov bit suddenly undid his coat to reveal a Wolves scarf and a massive baseball bat. He just started swinging it around trying to hit anyone in the viscinity. Mental!! I was about 13 and was bricking myself.

Ah funnily enough I was about 14 at the time...never even saw him. Might have been a bat rather than a boot!
