I need a good solicitor, can you help?

Best bet is to ask Joy she knows some good ones;)

I would imagine it differs a bit depending on what you want them for I used Cocks Lloyd in Nuneaton for an employment issue and they were excellent.

I only know one solicitor. He is a lovely bloke and solid as a rock.

He's a bit useless though unfortunately.

He defended a friend of ours and she ended up for longer in prison than expected.

Do you want his number?

I use Brindley twist. Been solid for me. They seem to have Someone in most areas needed.

It depends what you actually want the solicitor for.

Most are pretty limited and deal with standard fare. Probates and conveyancing as well as legal agreements is the main aspect of most of their business.

Fair point. Yep, some specialise in particular fields (employment law, criminal, domestic divorce etc).

If it is probate ..look into doing it yourself ... I am in process of doing it for my fathers estate... They can go jump if they think I'm giving them 1.5 percent plus vat for a few letters ... £215 and a bit of advice from cab ... All sorted..
