The League One club are facing a third winding-up petition by HM Revenue and Customs in less than 12 months, and have until a High Court hearing on December 8 to clear their debts.
A statement issued by the club on Tuesday read: "As has been reported, we have not yet been able to make the November salary payments to our playing staff and office staff.
"Following the publication of the HMRC winding-up petition, our bank has taken the normal step in such circumstances of suspending our banking facilities.
"The suspension will remain in place until such time as the petition from HMRC is dismissed or we obtain a 'validation order' which returns our banking facilities to normal.
"We are taking urgent steps to make progress on both fronts."
