Yeah perhaps I was, he did well eventually for second goal. Just thought he flattered to deceive a lot today

McNulty was out of luck really
He'd have scored two today without the desperate goal line clearance and his disallowed effort that must have been a very close call
It must turn for him soon

Burge 6 - Largely untested
Grimmer 8 - Excellent in defence and drove the team forward in attack on numerous occasions
McDonald 6 - Solid
Davies 7 - Solid but also classier and more composed than McDonald
Haynes 6 - Adequate but largely anonymous performance
Vincenti 5 - Didn't offer much before being substituted
Doyle 7 - Busy display
Shipley 6 - Reasonable but inexperienced performance. Didn't look entirely at home in centre midfield.
Jones 6 - Should have earned himself a 7 or an 8 with an energetic display but his end product was lacking on so many occasions against poor opposition. He has to be marked down for that.
McNulty 6 - Unlucky not to score. A good performance but still some way to go.
Ponticelli 7 - Opposite of Jones. Actually offered very little and should have earned a 6 but its hard to ask for more than goals from a striker. Has to be marked up for those.

Biamou 5 - Still doesn't look like scoring from open play.
Nazon 6 - Nice touches and looked busy but poor decision making around the penalty area.
Maycock 6 - Looked promising but didn't do enough in his time on the pitch to be marked up or down from a 6.

Marks might seem harsh but to put them in perspective today was nothing more than a professional performance against a conference team. Although we didn't really look threatened after the first 20 minutes it is fair to still expect more from the players given the opposition. Still a good win.

Burge 6 - Didn't really have much to do, kicking was the old Burge
Grimmer 8 - Up and down the line well, overlapping and an assist
McDonald 7 - Wasnt as busy as Davies and looked shaky at points
Davies 7 - He had a battle all game with their physical striker
Haynes 7 - Bit of a quieter game for him
Vincenti 6 - Only on for the half, because he is lanky you dont notice but some class touches at times
Doyle 7 - Got bullied by their 8
Shipley 7 - he was different to Kelly
Jones 6 - Not his best game, looked to be in a mood for most of it.
McNulty 6 - Still deserves more goals, started off with a poor touch but grew into the game. Makes the right runs and Biamou looked to want to play him through every time.
Ponti 8 - Two good finishes, chased down a lot as well

Biamou 6 - I am starting to think he would be better as an attacking midfielder, some great touches and a back heel. Great pass to set McNulty up too
Duck 6 - Some world classes touches, one of them took 2 of their players out of the game but then he didn't really do anything
Maycock 6 - Didnt look out of place
