Someone should put buses on to various population centres around. Even a shuttle out to half a mile away would help.

Build a bridge asap and ask the Council to go 50/50 on the project.

In the meantime have stewards there to reinforce the basics of road crossing protocols.

Introduce a average speed of 15 mph in the area directly around the ground between 4.30pm and 6pm once a fortnight etc for matches (until the bridge is built but keep it if its working well).

Why were all the Sheff Wed coaches, cars and mini buses all heading up Foleshill Rd towards the Bedworth after the game, they were all going past The Wheatsheaf, quite good too see actually rather than being escorted straight onto the Bypass

A 15mph speed limit would just encourage more pedestrians to chance it.

Yep, bit of both but the drivers are the ones in the heavy vehicles.

For the first time, there was very little space on the paths and at the crossings.
I guess the club reads this forum?

That’s spot on. Confession, it’s the first time I’ve used the crossing in a long time. But the previous home game I ended up scurrying along the road, running, stepping over barriers,, dodging traffic, crossing carriageways etc. I’m a bloke closer to 80 than 40!

it caused an argument between me and the person I was with because risks were taken (As cars accelerated towards people crossing) and I felt how dangerous the how ‘challenging’ it is just to cross a bloody road. If a person is in any road, they have right of way. If others follow, tough. Drivers don’t offer that assurance. They want to push through.

The bloody traffic lights over the crossings do not favour the pedestrian. Some ‘steward’ pressing the button is not much of an effort by the club is it?

The railings need to be moved to provide wide crossings. Good luck with that one. The road could be closed, or perhaps drivers should accept they may just have to wait a while for the fans to leave?

I will implement a cunning plan next home game.

Do any of the rates levied on the stadium still apply, thinking of the one where it became a superate once at a certain level of trading is achieved?

So basically you have described anarchy.

Then halfway through run out of cash and ask a local charity to step in for us, then start a long protracted legal battle to ultimately fail to buy the bridge back.
...because that also has been bought up by Sports Direct , and we have to pay a rental fee, or toll, each time we use it.

Doesn't help with entitled wankers thinking they can still dawdle across long after green.
There's issues with pedestrians and motorists but not sure we want to end up in a situation where we're discussing whose fault it was when someone has been seriously injured or even worse killed.

Just taking leaving yesterday as an example the bottle neck at the top of the stairs on the north east side of the ground was a disaster waiting to happen. Just nowhere for people to go so only needs someone to fall and there would be a domino effect. Then there was people jumping the barriers, crossing when it was a green light for traffic.

Some idiot in a BMW put the pedal to the floor, complete with screeching tyres, to fly through the lights leading to people jumping out the way to avoid being hit.

By Hen Lane / Winding House Lane there's more people than capacity on the pavement and since the road closure for the Brum game an increasing number of people seem to think its OK to walk on the road.

A Discovery decided to drive down the wrong side of Burbages Lane so he could turn right where its no right turn which involved him them driving on the wrong side of Winding House Lane and with all the cars parked on the side of the road picking people up completely blocked the road.

I'd also looking at the exit from the stadium onto the A444 (the one with the gate) and make that an entrance & exit. Can't take much work to change that. You could then have away coaches go straight to the away end rather than having them doing a lap of the stadium 30 minutes before kick off.
