I saw someone on Twitter say he’s their player of the season and it’s one of the most insane things I’ve ever seen on a platform that only functions by people saying insane things

I get the versatile squad argument but is he really good enough if we suddenly had a long term injury to one of the positions he covers, if we want promotion in the autos then we have to upskill with better players. He has mistakes in him every game and that puts Collins on edge who isn’t having his best time recently

I think Collins is perfectly capable of being crap without any outside help.

He's not good enough , ECCLES is a versatile player that can actually play 2 or 3 positions .. lati is shite

I bought the versatility argument but he's been completely out of sorts over the final third of the season. He might be better with a reset but he is a common denominator in our bad start and end to the season.

Think he’s been playing with an injury for a while. But he has been absolutely wank in the last couple of months

As he covers a few positions it just gives us that bit less to have to do this summer, which already needs quite a few players.

A bit like Allen. At some point yes we will need to upgrade, but we have more pressing things to consider before they become a priority.

Then gave them a goal just after.

He's fucking awful but he's the new dabo whov will get to play everywhere
To me he is a squad player, but never first choice. Personally id get 2 new CBs who are hard bastards who love defending first rather than fucking around with it in their penalty area.

He was seemingly playing through an injury towards the end of the season (and it showed) so he deserves some slack for his performances but also some credit for playing through the pain.

Could you imagine, all these bang average signings JDS, Lat, Collins hell even Kitch being sold for 5/6 mill each by brainless european clubs 😂 would be insane if even just JDS and Lat end up being sold for combined 12 million quid.

He was fine at the start. People were saying he was one of our better signings.
Yeah the ‘Lati appreciation thread’ went up at the end of March. His fell off a cliff after that but I’d keep him as cover for a few positions. I wouldn’t want him starting anywhere near as many games next year though.

Lati's biggest problem for next season is what position is he trying to nail down? I know that is the point of a utility player but every utility player is trying to cement their position and are happy to cover if needed (e.g. Eccles nailing down CM this season but has covered RWB/RM when needed).

He played his best as a CB in a back 3 last season but didn't look strong enough in a 4.

Started well and faded badly at RB and is never going to displace MvE and we have Burroughs coming back.

Looked composed at times but also completely lost positionally at times at DM. Was usually far too deep to influence play.

Be interesting to see where he plays during pre-season.

He played the 22/23 season at RWB for Swansea didn't he? He is a CB for me, and possible back up DM. Not a starter but a good squad player. You could definitely see he seemed slower by the last few months of the season, which would back up the fact he was playing with an injury.

Incredible how quickly people can turn on a player - this is from 40 days ago!

think he lost confidence coupled with playing through an injury. He is a solid championship player who can cover multiple positions, worth keeping around in my opinion

Unfortunately there are various fans of ours who just don’t allow for players to be injured or tired

Not on SBT or for some of our fanbase. ‘Shit and get rid’, or ‘how can we ever cope without [insert player]’…sometimes during the same game. No inbetween

Fuck me, some of the comments here, take away the Leeds game and 2 cup games the team in general have been pretty fking wank. From the 1st of April to the end of season w1 d1 l6 is shite.

That is a team/squad issue, impossible to call out one player for that unless its a keeper or the current booboy.
