In the future, with high speed rail to Birmingham International, there are plans to make a new City aroind this. Will this mean a "Greater Birmingham". More suburban sprawl and we are intergrated into this? At the moment I feel we have a seperate identity, but will we be the Leyton Coventry of the future?

Birmingham International is a money maker for Brum. Back in the mid 70s Coventry were invited to be a partner in the project, NEC, airport etc, etc. Our then Tory led council, the first conservatives to lead our council for years, turned the offer down.

Whilst there is clearly some party political message in your post I would like to point out that since the West Midlands County was abolished in the mid '80s Coventry Council has owned a share in Birmingham Airport.
