Oh dear. This is truly shocking from the Commanders tonight.

They pushed Philadelphia all the way last week and only lost in overtime. Toe to toe the whole game.

This week, against the 0-4 Bears, yup, the 0-4 Bears, they are 3-27 down at half time.

Really , really awful. Can't stop the run, can't stop the pass and the Bears are cutting through them like butter.

DJ Moore has 137 yards receiving in the first half alone. Herbert has 76 yards rushing and Justin Fields has thrown 3 touchdowns already

The Bears are averaging 8 yards per play and have 122 yards total in rushing.

Washington have 13.

And this is only the first half!!

What the hell has gone wrong?

Wish I hadn't stayed up for it now.

😱

Some correspondent on Twitter has just said that's the loudest boos he's ever heard at halftime for Washington.

Haven't Chicago just lost 14 straight games?

This is really, really shocking.

Browns fan myself but have several friends who follow Washington, will be a tough loss indeed if they don't come back.

Giving it their best shot second half. Just 10 points in it now and they have been able to shut the Chicago game down a lot more efficiently.

🤦 Just missed a 43 yard field goal that would have brought the Commanders within 7 points.

Think that might be it now. Just 4:40 left and the ball with Chicago.

Need the stop and quickly.

🤦

Game over.

DJ Moore now ridiculously has 230 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns.

Some very poor defensive work it has to be said.

An awful night at Fed Ex field.

Been a lot of average football this season but then along comes a belter like Cowboys & Eagles last night. Stars were the O&D lines on both sides - a level way beyond anyone else this season.

Not a fan of either team, not sure why as both are top level this year. Eagles look like they can grind results out against everyone, will take some stopping this season

ps Stroud is having an amazing rookie season. Amazing stats Sunday inc a 46 second drive to get winning TD. Cool head on a young lad 9B10D2B6-2E8F-4F1C-8E11-B2BC00C01793.jpeg

Another game winning drive to beat Burrows and the Bengals.350+ yards. Get him a top receiver and watch out.

Yeah, unbelievable. What a job DeMeco Ryan’s doing as well !

Saints laid another turd first half (following them and City this season is tough !). Felt for Otis, thought Washington were going to do it

Some great endings though as you say !

Was hoping Vikings would tank for the draft when Kirk got hurt - to find his replacement for the future. But Dobbs has been electric - not sure about his arm but his mobility has been an eye opener for Vikings fans used to a static Kirk. Plus Dobbs doing this without receivers 1&2 - JJ and now Osborne have been out. Can see them possibly giving Dobbs a contract - not that expensive and they need money to extend the likes of JJ, Darrisaw and maybe try and keep Hunter.

Washington still determined to get a promising young QB maimed with that awful O line.

I thought Dobbs had looked decent for Cardinals. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up…he could end up being a bargain replacement for cousins if he can consistently. Maybe O’Connell, who’s looking a very good young coach, can bring the best out in him though. With JJ and Addison in tandem you’ll be dangerous !

seems some players / teams don't like Xmas day football. Purdy meltdown for 49ers. Chiefs offense just committed suicide against Raiders.

Was hoping that Miami might make it a perfect 24 hours for the underdog, but not a great start. Massive home advantage, not just the travelling, fans pitch etc but those unbelievably cold conditions.

Wasn't expecting Texans to put 40 plus on that Browns defense. Ryans has done a great job there.
Chiefs defense carrying that team. Not sure if they can go all the way without proper receivers.

Yeah, what a turnaround Ryan’s overseen. Stroud has been immense this season, can’t quite believe he’s only 22.

As poor as Cowboys' playoff record is I didn't see them losing (let alone being blown away) by the Packers especially at home. For all Dan Quinn's hype as defensive mastermind he hasnt been able to stop teams running the ball. Packers shouldn't be good enough - probably wouldn't even had made the playoffs if Cousins hadn't got injured.
Lions finally proving that the draft system can work. Years of accumulating high round picks (Inc the ones from the Stafford trade) from being bad finally paying off.

Yeah I thought the Packers would give them a game but not totally embarrass them; find it hilarious they did mind lol, the below graphic sums them up to a T.

And yeah congrats to the Lions fans, one of the most long suffering fanbases in all of sports; they seem to have finally gotten it right.

The Eagles loss surprised me. I know they have been on a poor run of form of late, but the Bucs were hardly pulling up any trees were they.

That's a big loss.
Wasn't shocked by the Eagles defeat although the margin was a surprise. They haven't looked on it for a while. Their secondary has looked awful and that's not ideal when going up against a "gunslinger" like Mayfield. their offense has been off too. Teams do seem to have worked them out. Credit to Buccs who carried some form into the game.
For all the talk about running back contracts/value teams that can run the ball have been winning these playoff games.

Amazing when you compare the turnarounds in form of both Bills and Eagles.

I’d be chuffed if Allen gets to/wins a Super Bowl, what a player…even if he does ‘buy’ the odd personal foul ! Cooks run game and change of OC appear to have been key to their change in form. Looked a totally different team over second half of season

Fair play to Mayfield, what a story and a bargain this season. Would be surprised if they get past the Lions though, they struggled and arguably should’ve lost to panthers last game of the season (still smarting as a Saints fan…kinda got what we deserved though, wasted season)

Some great games over the weekend. I was hoping the Bills would beat the Chiefs. Massive fan of Mahomes but feel Allen deserves a championship game. As a mate and I were saying recently though, chiefs there have been there and done it before….and their receivers suddenly started catching the ball again !!!

Would be amazing if lions made the Super Bowl but still feels like Ravens v 49ers who probably have been the two best teams over the season (as well as being no 1 seeds)

Thought the Chiefs would just fall short against Bills but their offense was much improved.
Purdy is a cause for concern. Maybe there's something of the 2020 49ers where a strong roster was let down by a QB not quite good enough (Jimmy G).
Ravens look strong. QB gets the headlines but they are so strong in all areas.
Lions not convincing against a limited Rams team.
Playoffs again showing you can't go into postseason without some sort of run game.
Can't see past a 49ers Ravens SB ATM.

Go Lions, hoping they make it but don’t see past the 49’s or the ravens.
The Ravens defence looks unplayable, Mahomes is going to feel the heat next week from them, if anyone can then he will but it’s whether he has the options open to him.
Lions have nothing to lose and that’s a dangerous aspect with that squad and management team. Don’t think Goff will be able to stay in the pocket like he did last night, amazing adjustment to go down the middle after the wide moves failed.

That O line is really good but the tackles will be under big pressure from those 49ers ends.

Purdy looked all over the shop which was very unlike him, however, heard a few people comment on how good the Packers defence is becoming recently….the problem he’ll have is the Ravens already have one of the best assuming they end up facing each other in the Super Bowl !

Maybe also a bit of post bye week rust. Exciting end to the season though
