Will be banned for three years and will be unable to visit Coventry City centre on Saturdays.

Whether you think he was stupid, he will get treated worse than people committing more severe crime.

Know of plenty of far worse incidents than this where the police have and stood by and did fuck all so it's a bit rich them getting involved in what was basically a nothing incident and trying to hit this lad with a ban.
After last night he might not be too bothered though.

Should really investigate how he could just stroll on so easily.

I know he just had a rant at the players, but they didn't know his intention at the time.

If he gets banned from cv1 at least he can miss all this shit about city of culture. He should plead insanity as most in the ground have the same issue

He should have asked the ref to check his watch was working correctly as he could only manage two minutes of added time in the first half when I would say it was nearer to ten and the second half even longer, the goalkeeper was taking over twenty seconds to release the ball I know as I was so bored I was timing him.

But we lost because we were shit

Of course he shouldn’t have gone on the pitch, but I wouldn’t abuse him, looking at his face and the way he behaved mirrored exactly what every City fan was, and is feeling. Perhaps he should have been in MR’s face as well, because the problems lie primarily in team selection and tactics, with, of course, issues around individual and team performance.

The video had me in stitches to be fair. I totally feel that guys pain, but they way he shepherded their player over to the corner flag and broke down their attack is something that has been overlooked.

Based on that I would give him a contract!

It hasn't, because they were playing it into the corner to time waste rather than attack.

How can they ban him from CV1, what's that got to do with anything ?
Give someone a pointless and unenforced punishment to show you are dealing with misdemeanour’s even though you aren't doing anything much beyond wasting police and court time.

Football is a passionate game and players, managers, and fans sometimes can't control their feelings. My dad was calmness personified away from games, but during games could turn into a loud opinionated bloke.
Some people just get carried away and I bet the bloke who vented his spleen on the pitch woke up this morning probably thinking was it worth it ?
I'm not judging him though, that's what supporting Cov City can do to you !

A banning order stops you from going into the city centre of where Coventry are playing. So for example he would be banned from Luton in two weeks. If you read into it, you see how much it can affect someone's life.

I would love to know what he was saying, lots of chest beating so I'm guessing lots about heart and passion?
Did Doyle just tell him to get off the pitch when really he should have been apologizing for the shite performance of the team?

Seems it was the best bit from the whole match, and finally a bit of passion on the pitch. Fair play.

I think he simply got lost on the way out, and finding himself on the pitch decided to let the players know why he was leaving early.

The banning order has flexibility allowing the court to be specific where the person is banned from not just the ground. This is so it can include violence hotspots on match days. So to include the city centre, railway stations, certain pubs, a radius around the ground; is common place.

Lets face it most organised football violence occurs outside the ground. Sometimes hours after the game has finished and most decent fans wouldn't even be aware it has occurred.
