I think we had the option to extend his contract by a year. Which we did.

I was under the impression it was a new offer of a pay rise over a longer period?
Which I believe hasn't been signed yet, coz it would have been announced on the Offal.

New contract offered, he has told Robins he wants to stay, details are being negotiated.

He has good advisors who know it's better for young prospects to be at a club where they play regularly

He's became friends with sterling. A player who has chosen us over teams higher up to play his football from Chelsea. If I were him I'd look at that and the reasons why. It's a no brainer

A big season for him, higher level and has to prove he wasn't a one season wonder. Might be difficult to keep him come January or at the end of the season if he can continue to progress.
