I think we can have better quality on loan than we can persuade to sign on a permanent deal.
Note I said 'persuade', not 'afford'.
This way we have gotten three high level players in - instead of three legue 1 players.

Used to think that loan players had no loyalty to the club but I now think players under contract don't seem so committed either these days.
There's certainly no holding players from moving whether loans or contracted.

Especially younger players on loan tend to take their stay very seriously. They know a good performance even in lower leagues can make their future.

I imagine the sixfields lake will come as a surprise to them!

Wrong word!
Pressley told them the stadium has a nice large pool.

When you look at the length of deals being offered across the lower leagues,It Is a precarious time to be shifting around ,very little security out there .

Maybe that's reflective of society in general, but a few teams down here seem to be able to recruit when they want for as long as they need .

Worrying for the future down at this level ,part timers may come about If it carries on this way ,and the route to the top may be blocked

through the greed ,prohibitive structure introduced by those at the top .With ever Increasing levels of managers and Players from abroad ,the

only way It seems to be going Is down .

The way I see it is not many players are going to come to us and sign a long term contract with the current situation at the club. Most deals will be short term, the player will look to impress with their short stay to attract the interest of clubs in a higher division and get a move.

I think Craig Davies of Bolton would do a fantastic job in this division. Is 28 so good experience, supposedly in advanced talks with PNE though about a loan to them according to their fans.

Moussa and Clarke both free to sell them for nearly £2m would be phenomenal!!

So wish we had a future.

Sp and waggott have made some excellent loan signings here!!

He's worth twice that but is out of contract at end of the season.

Any truth in the £850k bid for moussa from ipswitch

Apparently Joe Ledley was signed for only £750,000 today according to reports. His contract was also out at the end of the season, So to get anything near to that figure for Moussa would be some good going.

What did Waggot say? I missed his interview, still hopeful of a new signing before the deadline? Anything about out going players?

Depends how much he means to the selling club I guess.

Nothing heard in this neck of the woods about Moussa, both my stepsons are rabid Tractor Boys and they reckon there's no money to spend!

He said when the window shuts his main priority will be looking to try and get Moussa and Burge signed on new contracts. Certainly sounds like there has been no bid for Moussa.

I still think we need another CM if Barton leaves, wouldn't mind Gary Gardner back on loan if he's available. Had a lengthy injury I think so Villa will probably be looking to send him somewhere for fitness.
