I have never known us to be in such a precarious position. It’s one I think we will struggle to get out of.
We have lost our 2 main songs and we are no where near with acceptable replacements.
Despite about a dozen new faces I’m really disappointed with our weak efforts to welcome them by song.
Come on you melodic City fans, start hitting those high notes.
Been happening for a while that the songs picked are shite.

Sakamoto's for instance. Just rubbish.

I reckon if he can play like that on a ploughed field like that, he’ll be unstoppable on our bowling green pitch

I think he still needs time to fit in and learn. Think he will be used off the bench for sometime yet (but may be proved wrong if he learns quickly).

Players that score on their debut often go on to disappoint. So for me it is far too early to judge or get carried away But he does look like he has some good attributes, but let's give him time and let's not expect too much too soon.

Bit of a mixed bag here: Goalscoring debuts at Coventry City

Let’s hope he’s more Keane than Hughes.

Drinkell what a disaster he scored goals for fun at Norwich and Rangers and got four in his first six games here but then zilch.
To think we chose him instead of John Alderige.

Give Torp 3 months and he will be as good a midfielder as we've had for many years.

Torp did well when he came on tonight, especially considering that he appeared to be pulling pints in the Stella Bar at half time.

Bristol commentators kept mistaking Eccles and the Topedo so I have no idea how either of them played after tbe subs.

I liked the fact he was very vocal when he came on and was trying to orchestrate the game. Not always easy for a young new player at a club to do that.

Obviously, still very early but you can clearly see his potential.

Remember what sheaf was like when he started, great quality but was not aware of his surroundings and lost possession. Torp is a different level to when sheaf started, I already know we’ve got a player here.

Noticed that as well. Was trying to organise things.

Torp has vision, skills, a great shot and tactical aweness. He also puts a lovely spin on the ball. He is gonna go a long way with us.

Looked really good last night.

Calm and confident on the ball, comfortable in tight situations, able to pick a pass and was good in the tight 1-2s as well.

Don't think he'd be as disciplined as Sheaf or Eccles so whoever is playing with him (Eccles in the coming weeks) is probably going to have to hold a little deeper than he naturally would.

Just wondering if that discipline is already there? He knows how to communicate. Read the mood on the pitch and in the crowd as well. He has his chance to make a difference now. Is he a captain in the making?
