Booooooo

Hate anything to do with those parasites. I switched from Vodafone as a small one man protest, refuse to buy Under Armour or anything associated so I'm going to struggle with this one as love my hummel replica kits and lots of their other stuff tbh, decent quality.

Laugh if it was the precusor to a massive takeover of both clubs. Long rental deal. Same kit manufacturer 👀 👀 👀 👀 👀 👀 👀

To be fair I can understand the business side, but history wise
City have a richer history and tradition for Hummel to work with so not bothered.

Anyone got any idea of the cost of stadium sponsor/naming rights? I'm guessing substantially less than the original Ricoh deal......

No idea mate. It was just a throw away comment but I get the feeling there's more going on than just a long term rental deal for the city.

For something like the Ricoh, a 10 year deal would likely get you a max of £10m I think, purely based on the fact that there's two clubs there and there's the exhibition side of things.

I'd be surprised if it was more than that.

Potentially not much. The Ricoh deal ran out years ago and has been extended pretty much for free as Wasps didn't want to cover the cost of having the Ricoh logo removed from the stadium. They have seemingly not come close to getting a new sponsor, even after employing a specialist company to find one for them.

I'm reliably informed that Wasps Vodafone and Ericsson deals were both sponsorships in lieu of work done rather than the companies paying to be associated with Wasps.

There was also rumour several months back of Under Armour pulling the plug, as opposed to Wasps getting a better deal elsewhere. Not that far fetched to imagine that someone from the CCFC side assisted Wasps in getting the Hummel deal.

The original naming rights for Ricoh were valued at c£10m, until they ran out in 2018? so that was 15 yrs, so surely now it would be worth more
and also having both teams there. I reckon probs £15/18m for the next 10 years is about right

Are stadium naming rights as valuable as they were? Another problem is the first name will stick. They have obviously found it difficult to attract a sponsor surprised the city council haven’t offered millions to call it something.

Have Hummel ever made rugger kits before? Can see our away kit being yellow and black next year and Wasps away being sky blue. Both club's are trying to save every penny so employing the same designer saves both enough for another round of drinks in the boardroom.

Whatever the top bidder is. Considering it’s been sponsor free for years apparently if you get in with a tenner now you’ve got a chance.

....so....in theory, could CCFC sponsor the ground?

Just imagine......wasps v leicester running out to a massive crowd of 502, live at the "Coventry City. We're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen Arena"

All chip in to get our company “Wasps don’t belong at this Ltd” as the new sponsor of the Wasps Don’t Belong At This Arena
