So is the Mr Goacher the one making the final decision? He's firing out headlocks at the moment.

He presents his "evidence" to the Ethics Committee (that's a f**king joke for starters - 4 of Lucas's buddies), then they say no-one did anything wrong ... err, sorry ... they come to a reasoned and objective decision as to whether the complaint has any basis in fact.

Mr Goacher says he doesn’t see any evidence that the alleged media campaign was put into action. he said: “When you follow the schedule (of emails) and what was actually said, it doesn’t seem to have been replicated. There’s no evidence of that.

“It isn’t translated to press comments to support this is what was going on.”

Surely the bit where it says the job was done on Sepalla early confirms something was done?

Is this guy an independent investigator or the council's defence?

Are they looking at the same documents as on the council's website? The one where they discuss how they are going to target her and then say the job was done early on?

Whether she deserves it or not, it sounds like there's some serious bullshit going on.

Council are up to their neck in it here. Sure there won't be any punishment for them but surely nobody can be following this and looking at the evidence and still believe there was ever any chance of us owning the Ricoh.

The council have well and truly screwed the club just so they can stick two fingers up at SISU. Thats becoming very clear.

It's all an absolute shambles to be honest. I've said this from day one that whilst SISU are no angels the council unfortunately has an obligation to deal with them in the interests of the City and not their own personal vendettas... and if they are not able to put their feelings to a side they need to step down.

This is a key point for me. Its not two private companies going at it. This is our council and, ultimately, our football club. The fact that the council were quite happy to do who knows how much long term damage to the football club just to get one over on its current owners is disgraceful.

"Mr Goacher says he doesn’t accept that it’s a “valid criticism” of his report that he has failed to distinguish between Sisu and Coventry City FC - an element of his report highlighted by Sisu’s legal representatives. He says there’s an “obvious” link between the two organisations and that they can’t be considered entirely separately."

So SISU and CCFC are 'obviously linked' but ACL and Council are not. Righty-ho.

Ha exactly.

Especially when there are council people involved who had nothing to do with ACL.

Where's Wasps Tony and Italia? Strangely silent today.

Yet earlier in one of the documents it said that AL chaired the ACL Shareholders Committee whilst leading the council....:thinking about:

This Goacher is either a total idiot or totally on the council's side. How can ACL, who had council employees like Reeves and West, not be linked to the council but SISU and CCFC are indistinguishable and have to be considered one entity.

I dread to think how much he's been paid for this bollocks. Surely if on day 1 you don't know what the complaint you're supposed to be investigating is it would be a good idea to find out.

I think it will be ruled they did nothing wrong anyway so won't make much difference, all that will have been gained is some documents out in the open.

The Ethics committee is crammed full of Labour councillors - hardly going to give their own a kick in. Like turkeys voting for Christmas

Obviously, greed is in the DNA of hedge funds, so rightly, the council decided not to do a deal with SISU and instead did a deal with Wasps, who aren't owned by a hedge fund.

that article should be made into wallpaper and decorate all these councillors offices so they can realise on a daily basis how they have let down all fans of ccfc and cov rugby infact all sports fans in the city

"we were looking to create a stable long-term business model that would take us forward over the next 250 years," he adds, referring to the length of their ricoh lease.
"with our previous business model, we were losing in the region of £3m to £4m a year. Our only revenue then was ticket sales. Food and beverage sales went to the football club, while other revenue went to our sponsors.

At least they know where we are coming from when we negotiate for the revenue that we generate... that's not to say we will get any spare change from them but at least they understand our predicament...

They'll probably 'forget' about such scenarios would be my guess.

I think you may need to cut your caffeine intake, this is as others have said council documents.

You may need to read my posts more carefully, I was referring to Les Reids observer article as linked in the OP, this I've already clarified.

It looks like the people judging it are councillors and people from the council with some who are close to Lucas? You can pretty much guarantee they will say nothing was done wrong can't you?

There are some documents here - http://democraticservices.coventry.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=161&MId=10965

An article here - http://coventryobserver.co.uk/news/coventry-councillors-set-reject-sky-blues-media-war-complaint-flawed-whitewash-report/

This bit is very interesting if true, isn't it?

Which SISU would have known full well. So are they going through this to get some anti-CC PR of their own (bit late for that) or just to get more info for the new year court case(s)?

Even the latter is a bit odd as the 'new to us' documents weren't new to SISU - 'Sisu lawyer says they were in their possession, but they only became relevant as a result of the report findings.'

Have not posted in what seems like an eternity, but I cannot fathom how a council ethics committee involving the leader can call upon a local cabinet member as a purportedly impartial party.

Pub crawl in Hereford.
Why what's happened?
Can someone sum up before I loose consciousness ?

The council conducted a PR campaign with the express objective of discrediting SISU and with it CCFC. They had denied previously that they had any oversight with the PR firm as it was commissioned by ACL. Evidence suggests that not to be the case. Council investigation was set up with the objective of exonerating its members without even attempting to investigate the nature of the complaint.

Seems this forum is famous again, there's someone called Garry Woollaston slagging it off publicly (scroll down to the comments):

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sp...ans-verdict-disappointment-shows-how-10525228

Former SBT member?

That bloke is an absolute numpty (polite version).

he doesn't actually know what he is on about, keeps going on about SISU taking the higgs to court. Don't think he realises it was the higgs.

Looks like he was equally a plonker on here - http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/32492-Goodbye-CCFC-and-Sky-Blues-Talk?p=470130#post470130 He signed up and a couple of weeks later made a big announcement he was leaving. A fine example of the people who shout NOPM, but don't actually know what the hell they are talking about.

now he just foams up at every article on the telegraph site.

I like how they put those comments on an article about how far we have come this season.
