Just noticed a name I have not seen before "Henry the Wasp" foolishly maybe, I have not looked at his all important like to post ratio but assume he is a decent bloke. This got me thinking how many regular crossover fans are there that watch both CCFC and Wasps avidly when they are playing at the Ricoh.

Should we ever split our ground sharing arrangement this will no force those fans to choose where their loyalty lies.

I thought we had gone transgender for a minute. Which would have been very radical for a football forum.

I believe he was just unfortunate enough to choose his name in a more innocent time ;)

I don't understand why CCFC fans wouldn't go to a Wasps game. If your not into Rugby then fine but if you like live sport and a day out, it isn't bad. Refusing to go to prove a point or to show some misguided loyalty to CCFC is a bit ridiculous.

It's more to do with Cov Rugby Club. Not that I'm into rugby myself as you know. But we've already got a team. Not these franchise donuts.

I refuse to go because the Council went behind every CCFC fan's back and sold to a club from 90 miles away leaving their fans without a club to support. I also despise that their owners even thought about the situation.

I have also yet to see evidence of them helping the Coventry Rugby team which they promised.

Don't like rugby so not really an issue for me but if I was a rugby fan I would be going to see the team that have been here for over 100 years, not some team that just showed up. I don't buy the top level argument. If Man City suddenly moved here I wouldn't be supporting them, why is it different for rugby?

For me any CCFC, or indeed any Coventry resident, that goes to games endorses franchising. People went mental when we moved, temporarily, 35 miles away but welcome with open arms a side that's moved 90 miles away.

We also have a rugby club in bedworth about half a mile from my house. They always play on a Saturday so it's not possible.
My daughter plays for Coventry Welsh on Sundays so that is my fix of lower league Rugby.
Like CCFC matches Wasps matches are a good day out for us.

That's fair enough. They are here to stay or so it seems. I'm happy to embrace them. I am a fan of live sport and it's a decent day out. But I can't defend the Council. They are meant to have the City's interest at heart and haven't clearly acted so.

Bedworth is nothing to do with me or Coventry.

Here we go around the merry go round.
I suspect your really issue is that Wasps own the Ricoh and we don't.
Don't knock anyone for being upset but we need to move on now Wasps are settled.

"Don't like rugby so not really an issue for me but if I did .............." LMAO

Never said it did but not everybody lives in Coventry so explains why we don't go to CRFC.

So if you did you'd refuse to attend wasps games. At least you agree coventry people should boycott them. Well said.

So you don't go to CRFC as you don't live in Coventry. But you do go to see Wasps play in Coventry and you go to see CCFC play in Coventry :thinking about:

Not sure if you can give a reasoned opinion if you have never been to a Wasps game.

What on earth are you on about now? The question was why don't CCFC fans go to watch Wasps and now you're saying opinions aren't valid unless its from someone who doesn't qualify to answer the question as they are going to watch Wasps!

Ccfc fans that go to wasps game are a bunch of hypocrites in my eyes.

A lot of people from outside Coventry support CCFC. You don't have to support your nearest team.
I've never seen Bedworth football or rugby clubs play.

No, the question was who goes to both and what will you do if you have to choose.

Why are you even on this thread ?

Why are you even on this forum? Is Tony having a lie in today? Go upstairs and wake him up.

Just to clarify my OP. I don't understand CCFC fans not going to A Wasps game ( not all games) because they 'hate Wasps' and don't have a full understandable reason behind it. I'd also like to clarify that by going to the odd game doesn't mean I am backing a sporting franchise. I didn't agree to Cov moving away and I don't agree with wasps moving out of their usual territory. I simply got offered a ticket to watch a live game. I don't even like Rugby that much. Does going to a live game make me fanatical? I went to watch cov play at MK Dons, does that mean I support what they have done? No. It's a day out that is all. And level of play does affect things. I'm not a massive rugby fan so I'm not likely to watch a rugby match from low leagues than watch a European game against Toulon.
