The former AIK player Martin Lorentzson is now fully ready for Coventry. It is confirmed that Martin Lorentzson has during the last few weeks been on trial at Coventry in the English third division. During Friday evening Martin Lorentzson confirmed that he has signed a contract for the rest of the season. “I go on Sunday. It feels exciting.” It was very good during the trial and the coach liked my style of play so he wanted me there," says the 31-year old.
“You will now be team mate with Reuben Lameiras that you played with in the Galati in the Spring.”
“It was really nice to have a face that I knew when I was there on trial. He took me up in the mornings with his car and he drove me home after the training. So it is fun of course!”
“What do you think of the chance of a place in the starting line-up in Coventry?”
“The coach was satisfied with my performance and he also knew that I hadn’t played for a long time. I know myself that I need some training before I play for the first team. The team is second in the table so they have played very well during the autumn. But I am going to give it all I‘ve got.”
“How do you solve the family situation?”
“Since the contract is only for seven months my girlfriend and children will stay in Sweden. My girlfriend has a new job so that it is better to stay at home.”
“Would you like to stay at Coventry for more than the seven months?”
“I feel comfortable at the club and if we do well while I am there it would be fun to stay longer. We are the second now so it could be Championship next season, which would be awesome.”
