Seems our two rivals at the top have both gained new managers at a time when conventional wisdom would suggest a dangerous time to make such brave changes?

Will it back fire on them both with a lack of focus and be seen as a "confident sapping two fingers at the players" from the departing manager and board having done so well so far?
Or will the new incumbents change nothing, reinvigorate the good season so far and add something a little extra?

Clough is like a long lost son at Burton but they say never go back don't they?
He failed to achieve his goal at Derby where a few tweaks from Mc.Claren and this season under Paul Clement look set to go one better.

My personal view is that it will be difficult for them under a new guy to maintain focus and new guys will have ways of doing things which means inevitable changes to their routines. Even small tinkering will be a nuisance at worse and upsetting the apple cart at best.

Think this plays into TM hands. What's your thoughts?

To me the most important isn't who the next manager is. It is if the old manager comes in with a bid for any of the players. It is hard for any club at our level to turn down a decent bid for anyone. And losing your best players makes a massive difference especially mid season.

I would have thought that there is a good chance of Dean Smith taking Bradshaw to Brentford during the transfer window.

As an aside I see that TM is fourth favourite at 16/1 for the Fulham job.

Dont worry most of the managers odds are pure guess work with the bookies and even 1 smallish bet could make them twitchy and cut the odds.

In a bizarre way I expect Burtons position to galvanise where before due to JFH lack of experience and resources to fall away, not so sure now.
Don't know who's taken the Walsall job but I expect Smiths departure to hit them harder.

Your opening statements seem to infer that they chose to change managers. That wasn't the case. Bigger clubs came and took them off them.
