Time for us to stop going to the Ricoh (3 Viewers)

I posted weeks ago that I no longer go to the ricoh and only away games and not one person had a pop. Unfortunately has it come to this?? It did for me half way through last season, this club is seriously in the shit and the sooner people realise that the better. I for one still believe that we should have gone down the bankruptcy route a few years ago when Leicester did. Bad times will be on going but I'll always follow the club. PUSB.

I only do away games (I went last night) and reason why is i don’t like going up the Ricoh anymore. The whole day is rubbish. The pubs are rubbish, the atmosphere is rubbish and the football is rubbish regardless what fans may say, nice neat football is not entertaining football.

Doesn’t make me any better or any worse supporter than anyone else. It’s a expensive day out now football and id much spend money on my son then giving to the useless muppets on the pitch who don’t have a care about us fans.

I understand why fans don’t want to go up the Ricoh anymore. 32,000 ground and we got only a 1/3 that full. Reason 10 years of rubbish football in a half empty ground with nothing to cheer about..
How dare you slag off fans of Cov regardless if they go the Ricoh or not.

Get down the Wheatsheaf! :D

I don't think I've read anything for ages where I actually disagree with EVERYTHING.

SISU are not making a profit and they never have done. You've said it yourself; they've invested. There is no revenue.

You may be OK to "best let it (the club) die", but I'm not.

Not going to have a go at guys with season tickets etc, fair play to your support for our club.....................but do you not understand that SISU have made it perfectly clear that they are now trying to recoup their original investment wherever possible, so if we got 25,000 a match it is highly unlikely they will do nothing else but re-line the pockets of their investors and after that look for a profit. They are not credible owners for an institution like a sports team, they are not interested in Coventry City or the City of Coventry only their balance sheet. By continuing to feed them money, they will stay around until they have sold every asset or reduced every cost they can. Best let it die and let them lick their wounds and walk away, the club starts again without being totally hamstrung with debt or SISU.

I used to go there mate and all my pal's still do (Probably for the free curry after) Juebox is sound but even that place can get tedious. If only we could have the days of starting in town at 10 and mooch from Yates, Lloyds, head down to Gringo's then Gosford street. Right good run before the game and then do the same after.

Still mean to go on the barge, heard thats decent.

This isn't a pointless excerscise,by boycotting the stadium ,the pressure
on Sisu to do one will come from ACL compass and their sponsors ,the club will still have the nine thou season ticket money and awayday income but i can't believe you don't want rid of these inept chancers ,this club needs investment not oblivion ,there is someone waiting with funds for these muppets to FO get with it you'reprolonging there stay.

Frankly yes it is ,you obviously expect shite and you're getting it in spades ,you also hold yourself in lofty esteem ,with you're continual sniping and mocking of less educated and most likely younger persons than yourselfthe problem will not be resolved with people unwilling to show anything other than passive .

Oh, I see so it's OUR fault for going to watch the team week-in and week-out, is it? Well, I am a naughty boy then and I need to be punished.

Well, I'll join the "real" fans then who will boycott matches and hope we concede five every game. That'll show 'em.

Complete bullshit. Bravo.

The idea that only people who share your stance are in the right deserves sniping, by the way. Hand me the rifle.

Hand me my BBC fat cat salary in that case too.

Your post is along the same lines of when anyone dares not scream blue murder, they are greeted with 'what you doing here Ken!!!!'. Kind of ironic when you accuse me of shouting down idiocy, when you just shout down with idiocy.

apologies for my provocative nature ,due to fatigue its obvious we won't agree on how to stop this appalling slide to possible oblivion ,and i don't generally go in for bravado statements or insults ,but you do tend to ridicule/mock people you percieve as having poor communication skills /judgement ajccfc. torchy we'e all free to act as we please ijustdon't think its all gonna be alright this seasoon next season etc ,the signs for the future are grim some of us will roll withit some feel they just have to act,we were told by mr Richardson how a drop would benefit us ,what a disaster Sorry for any offense.

I think there is enough people not going for lots of reasons. Cant be arsed to go into the many reasons.

But it goes back to the old saying if you dont use it you lose it. (Pubs closing etc)

There could be no CCFC if fans stop going. So lets go up and cheer the lads on.

Just remeber us fans will be here LONG after SISU.

They may have the debt etc and the paper that says its thiers, but we OWN it.

Too right. The essence of a true supporter is to attend games ESPECIALLY in the hard times. I remember some away games in the early 80's when there were literally 20 supporters in the away end. Most owners of football clubs care little about supporters but so what supporting the team is surely all that matters.
