As much as a second stadium next to the Ricoh would be "funny", if it happened it would just about sum up the basket case that this has become. Cov United would move into the Ricoh, and in 50 years it would be like the Merseyside Derby....no thanks!
But by the same token, if we moved elsewhere outside the city and Cov United grew and grew and moved into the Ricoh, then it would still be like the local derby, except Cov United would be the team in Coventry and we'd be the team outside the city.
Don't think that argument stacks up. The number one preference would surely for any new stadium to be in the city. If a new stadium could be built next door to the Ricoh then I think that would be perfect.
Then when Wasps finally fail and we're a big club, we can move back into the Ricoh and use the new stadium for our academy, a la Manchester City.
