Haynes has fantastic potential. Anyone with half a footballing brain can see that. Glad he had a good game hope he gets more opportunities.

Coming from someone who worshipped Andy thorn and, oddly, still rates Chris Hussey - while at the same time was rubbishing stokes when he arrived - that's truly hilarious

Oh - and the one thing Mowbray did when he arrived was totally removing Haynes from the team. Clearly he lacks that half a brain if yours.

But he has put him back in as first choice at the moment, So was Mowbray wrong?

He isn't actually first choice, as he had to move chris stokes to central defence. Dropping Chris Stokes to the bench for him would mean first choice.
Splitting hairs, we have posters on here that do nothinges but slag off everyone at the club , yet make out they are CCFC through and through.
Slag off most of the players get on the managers backs and even the fickle Coventry fans.
Haynes is a young lad yet they slag him of RCC is a young ,ad yet is allowed to make mistakes because he is young, need to have some consistency.

The super fans have a God given right to slate the youngsters and judge the merits of how good a fan others are.

Didn't see many coming forward in defence of Thomas, Clarke, finch, Burge, Phillips, Jeffers, grandison, etc, etc, etc.

Sorry? I think you will find my observation is based on the players record.

Players are paid to perform - people who pay to watch performers are entitled to decide if their performance meets the purchasers expectations,

The amusing thing is that I'm supposed to abuse players yet I haven't said laziest to wear a city shirt (Murphy) even worse than Thomas (many players) didn't slaughter finch with and certainly didn't engage in the nonsense surrounding stokes where certain fans were abusive and willing to fail.

It's notable also I'm criticised for making a reference regarding a game I didn't go to (which I didn't do) but the Op isn't.

If Haynes had remained in the team last season it's a fair bet we'd have been relegated. Mowbray identified a big issue which Pressley did not.

That's an observation based on football. Slating is sneering at someone as a "forest green reserve" without having even kicked a ball for the club. Some still have it in for him now. One guy in front of me has a numerous phrase when stokes gets the ball "pass it to someone who can play football you fucking donkey!" - that's slating.

It's amusing to see that you and others picked on my comments on Bigiamara after the port vale game yet failed to address the fact that many on the ratings thread (ironically not me) considered him the worst player we had that day.

Odd how some are given protected rights such as Bigiamara and Haynes but Clarke, finch, Thomas, Murphy, Leon Best to name but a handful are fair game in the slating season - for them that season never ends.

The only thing consistent is the glaring hypocrisy of SBT posters.

Bigiamara is a limited footballer with hardly any range of passing. If he didn't have an X factor sob story he'd get the Thomas Treatment.

So I've not run from everything and I don't get personal like you did with blatant abuse of Clarke.

Your the biggest hypocrite of the lot.

I'm neither here nor there with Bigi, but I'll be honest G, I really don't get your stance on him. Like I've said before, he won Championship Apprentice of the Season when he was with us first time round. How does a limited footballer with no real range of passing, win an award like that?

Are you saying that all youngsters playing in the Championship that year were total shite?

Haynes did fine. Chesterfield were crap. If he'd struggled in that game then I'm not sure what Mowbray would have done with him. He hasn't played a lot of football though and with a run in the team there's no reason he can't get back to the player we thought we were seeing emerging 18 months ago

Wonder why?
Just look at shit the posters that stuck up for Burge got?

These youngsters are shit in some people's eyes and are not allowed to have a good game or even improve.

I think all young players need a chance to develop. Haynes has been disappointing for me since he first appeared on the scene, but I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

If we have the cover I would like to see him go out on loan somewhere to see if he can develop his game.

I haven't given up on Burge yet either.

The two subsequent winners were mason Bennett and Dimitar Evtimov
Neither of these on career stars appear to making much progress.

My stance is not even critical but that he is a run of the mill league one player.

Your stance borders on the obsessive, people better than you, who know the game seem to think otherwise.

Like who? Mowbray is using Haynes as a last resort. I agree he's good enough for 4 or 5 games a season at this level.

It was your comment that u highly doubted he had a good game that was ridiculous, dont know how u can justify that without being there to make that assumption.

he always misses the point in these scenarios because he hates it when he has no comeback or room for twisting

I know....we will see what he comes up with unless he's gone to bed of course.

Please show me a post where I said I highly doubted he had a good game.
