Anyone know what his record is since taking over and how that compares to his predecessor?

Not sure about the results but after they lost the other day he didn't seem very happy.

Might be imaging it, but get the feeling they were doing better before he came. I think thre are some people in here who go and watch them so will be interesting to see.

6-2 isn't acceptable for any side, but at that level coaches aren't measured on results, it is not a win at all costs situation.

it is about development of individuals and getting them to play in the right way. You are judged more on how many break through to the first team rather than week to week results.

Glover was a very talented player and shone in a good Nottingham Forest set up. I would not be too worried about his credentials on the back of one defeat. It maybe just the opposition were a bit older and a bit more ready competitively. At that level 12 months can make a huge difference in physicality.

I think we have 4 or 5 out injured.

He was not happy with the levels of commitment shown and gave them a swift kick up the backside in the press. Which for me is a good thing, for years we moaned about players not caring etc, Pressley started with his bomb squad, and Mowbray has come in and refined it a fair bit, but the message is the same, its a privilege to play for our club and they should not forget it.

The majority of the team are U18 players. 8 of the team play in our U18s side. Quite a lot of the 'senior' players who would be playing usually are injured - Stevenson, G Thomas, C Thomas, Finch, Lawton. Also Lorentszon is injured and Rose I'm not too sure about. So for yesterdays game 7 possible starters weren't available.

Although, it does seem an odd topic to start given that there is a fair amount of positivity surrounding the club.

Sorry I will wait till something goes wrong and then ask.

I may have it wrong but I felt we had a very good youth/under 21 set up who was getting good results. Then recentky and I maybe combining results of the different developmental teams as lots of defeats.
I was thinking this before the 6-2 defeat and am not basing it on that one off result.
So was intrigued if anyone goes to matches to see what they think.

Not really just focusing on that one game I think there may have been a few defeats recently

Yup. Results are to a certain extent, an irrelevance at that level. It's more how players react to results, and improve (or don't!) that marks a coach out.

Strange role really. The Manager of U21s will of course want to win every week but his job is to develop players for the first team, always a stepping
Stone.
