Sorry to hear you had such a horrible illness, I had it about 10 years ago when I'd just turned 20. Woke up after a night out thinking I'd either slept funny or was one hell of a hangover. Couldn't close one eye or smile from one side of my face for the best part of 3 weeks. The lads found it hilarious. Bastards.

Glad you're on the mend, keep the comments coming it really is a great platform on here for real fans.

Looking forward to tonight! PUSB!

Wish you well, mate, Bells Palsy is a strange but frightening one, isn't it? Some people get over it quickly, some don't (like Jim Ross from WWE) but I'm glad we've all brightened your off-work period - shame you didn't lurk sooner, you'd have seen me having several delightful meltdowns. :D

All the best, pal.

Nice to see how positive you are, mate. The last bit reminds me of when I was working security in London two years ago and five lads decided to tap dance on my head for fun, bust my eyesocket and damaged the neuralgic nerve in my cheek (which still gives me terrible pain and discomfort sometimes).

I looked like the bleeding Elephant Man, and my eldest, who was just over 2 at the time, said I was "Daddy lumpy rainbow face".

I laughed so hard, it set my recovery back a few days. :D

I feel your pain. I had that about five or six years ago. It started as a "tingle" a bit like the feeling in the lip when an injection at the dentists is wearing off. The left side of my face dropped and it was pretty scary until I went to see the doc. He said it could last a week or years but luckily it went after a couple of weeks.

Glad to hear your on the mend. Never known anyone else who had it.

Sorry to hear that but glad things are looking up. Welcome aboard!

Been a member on here since my six fork days when I was persuaded to make the move from the cov evening telegraph forums. It really is a good community so thanks Nick! You only have to look at other teams in this league to see they only have a handful of users

Wow - I had that about 8 years ago - my Doc just told me to go home and rest and it would recover - Big Mistake!
You should have steroids prescribed with 48 hours which didn't happen in my case and even now the right side of my face is paralyzed (although not as instantly visible unless I try and break a smile).
So if you see a guy with a crooked smile tonight when City score - that could be me!
The good news is I can now drink a beer out of a bottle and I cant whistle any more - Happy Days...
