Looooong time left. Games will be won and lost by everyone in the running to teams we won't expect. We do need another striker though, not killing games off like I think we should be doingz

As long as we don't get two weak centre backs and strikers I'll be well happy!

I think Hooi will be the new winger if he impresses. We need another CB for sure and another striker who can get goals to take the pressure off Arma.

We only play with one striker so I can't see anyone loaning a player to sit on the bench.

With 18 months left on his contract, he was never going to negotiate himself out of his reported £19k pw contract

The "no recall" clause is funny. Does that apply to us or them?

TM will bring in more attacking options i'm sure, the calibre of player he has brought in recently should tell us he can get better options than MAF and Tudgay. I also would not be shocked a perm signing in these depts. I still think Reece Burke is an option for loan at CB just waiting for him to get back on the training ground.

What if Armstrong becomes suspended/injured?

We need a better option than Tudgay/Fortune

Other clubs won't care about that. They'll only want to loan out good players to a team that will play them. Only exception would be an older player looking to get back up to speed (like Cole did).

Best option would be to sign someone from lower leagues as development/backup.

So TM waiting on one or two players on fringes at other clubs who are currently involved re Cup competitions.
Wonder who they are?
Not young Gladwin obviously.
also Hooi is back in Holland, although its not dead it does sound dependent on how other options go first, so possibly not a total endorsement.

has excellent technical ability and has really settled into the environment since coming back, providing us with another crucial option in midfield.

I think TM seems to know how to spot a player when he sees one. Let's hope he can unleash Biggi's potential.

Where has this come from about players at clubs in cup competitions ?

we lost two games whilst he was here, both of which he was a sub for... Hard to say he was detrimental to our cause.

I doubt it. Klopp has stated youth players won't be loaned out from Liverpool in the future. He wants them around the club.

He might have changed his mind after the performance the other night! Can't see how playing games like that is helping their development more than going out on loan.

Think Wheaters still there would have played under TM at Boro I would imagine, think he's had a lot of injuries though not sure even if he's fit at the minute.

Looks like we could be missing Armstrong for 2 games at Easter, Peterborough away and Colchester at home.

England U19's have 2 European qualifying matches and you would assume he will be called up, so it's not just about taking pressure off Armstrong, but as has been said, cover for suspension, injury and now with this of course, international call-ups.

Has he? Oh, right, thanks.

Was just trying to make the point re a second striker. Been talk on here that a player wouldn't come in to sit on the bench behind Armstrong, but I just think with the combination of loss of form, injury, suspension, international call-ups and the potential to field two strikers together at times, then any new striker coming in would indeed get enough game time here for sure.
