They're a very close-knit, efficient unit aren't they; a testament to what it takes to get out of this League. Nothing flashy, nothing spectacular, just sheer determination and confidence.

If they don't get auto-promotion, I'd be astonished.

Watching their passing and shooting drills pre match tells me there is plenty of good ability in there too. In fact their passing drill compared to ours looked quicker and more fluid.

I know game situations are different, but drills are a good indicator. I always watch them. To me it was no suprise when that little Peterborough midfielder stuck one in the top corner from 20 yards....I saw the pre match rehearsal.

I think it is possible that Mowbray has been a bit star struck by who he has been able to attract into little league one - Cole and Hunt specifically? It has distracted from the young, tight team structure we had in place before. Some experienced heads are essential, I accept that, but Ricketts, Tudgay and to a lesser extent Fleck should be able to provide that. Now we have a squad that isn't as close as it was and is perhaps doubting itself. I hope I'm wrong but can't see better than 4-5th place.

Which would be fantastic.

I think you have to view TM signings from two perspectives:
Short term requirements
Long term planning

Now the hectic December/January fixtures are out the way, I think you will see a more settled starting line up; injuries permitting.
