That may have something to do with the players preference.

Doubt that. If a higher club came in there is a chance that they could pay some of his contract off. There is no chance we can. The club will want to do what's best for them in this scenario.

True but he could point blank refuse to go.
Seems Mclaren has a benevolent vent towards CCFC and Mowbray.

If he really is on £19k a week then at some point the contract needs settling.

I would find it astonishing based on what we've seen so far that we'd sign him unless there is some deal we get a fee from them to take him off their books.

For them he is an embarrassment.

Who from Newcastle has said he is an embarrassment?

Really that's interesting - name some.
Off the top of my head........
Burge,
Phillips,
Haynes,
Thomas,
Even Cole, JOB have had your expert opinion blasting them.
If you really want I can pull out another half a dozen but really do I need to?
Or really do I actually want too?
Answer to both is No.

Haynes and cole.

Yes because Haynes is sub standard and Cole a distraction.

Unlike some however I don't call them dog shit like Murphy gets called and yet that never gets picked up.

Bigiamara will be a non league player in two years as will Haynes. Cole slows us down.

Bullshit that. Defended Thomas, big fan of JOB - as for Burge - seriously. Phillips? Pretty kind compared to many on here.

Never rated him but more forgiving of our own so more patient with Haynes rcc maddison etc he went for the cash wasn't good enough came back and still not good enough. He will be at Nuneaton in two years.

We owe him nothing and whilst not to blame for recent demise as many poor performances around him, I can't find a single thing that has been positive about his return. People having a go at hunt after one game and were not forgiving to Cole, at least they have done it and can hopefully recapture form. Bigi I'm afraid imo will never make it.
What will bigi never make? As far as i can see he already has made it.

He isn't good enough for this level, if you're happy with us having poor players then you have to accept we will always be mediocre.

I would wager that if he hadn't come through out academy, you wouldn't have such an attachment to him.

He will probably end up in League 2 next season before falling further down the pyramid.

He's started 25 league matches. Seriously get over him.

Way too much undeserving focus on this young 22 year old lad.

He did Have a very average game...others were much worse.

I'm not sure why he's being singled out after that performance. 123 messages on this thread and counting.

What pisses me off the biggest moaners never even went to the game.
I was there and there was at least half the team worse then him.
Haynes has also had stick funny but none of the goals were down to him.

Thought haynes was ok yesterday and has done good on the whole since coming back in and bigi was no where near being the worst.

Seems to me that most who are supporting Bigi on this thread actually saw him play yesterday. The doubters on the other hand....
Not many people if any have commented specifically on yesterday in this thread though. It's more general.

After one game somebodies highlight of his performance was an over hit pass that would have been great if it came off.

I for one would be delighted to be proven wrong and he becomes amazing for us.

Haynes only playing because of defensive injuries & therefore shouldn't be lambasted for mistakes (but he does surrender posetion to easily & to often) Bigi was no better & no worse than many around him yesterday.
PS was better then Rickets though.

Errm, isn't the thread called 'Bigi' rather than 'Bigi yesterday?'

If it was called 'Bigi yesterday' then a case could be made to say he's been singled out for the Southend defeat, but looking at all the posts, I don't think anyone has blamed him for the defeat and it is just a general observation on his overall play since his return.

It may be general comment but it's a reaction to the OP. If we had won at the weekend this thread wouldn't exist.

I do like some things about Bigi, he's got a reasonable touch and he doesn't hide, tries to get us moving despite having few options at times. It's good that he comes to collect the ball from the defence but just needs to do that 15-20 yards further forward. Then again, Fleck does the same.

I wouldn't write him off, he's only really in his second season as a pro so little has he played. Remember that Fleck was very poor in his first season here.

I certainly haven't written him off either, but I just don't like him in that defensive midfielder role at all.

I rate Bigi. Think he's one of the better players in the side. He'd be better suited in a more attacking role, however.

There's such small margins for error in passing the ball from the back. Further up the pitch I think would much more suit him.
