So the line will be running in the next few days and the only problem is capacity on match days because of lack of carriages ?
Nothing to stop other teams putting on a special train. Like JH used to do.

I won't be using it myself but I guess those complaining will be.
Unless of course its just a moan at the council.
Bad for business.

To charter a train would need a fare of £17 from Coventry to the Ricoh just to break even! Can't see away teams chartering trains when they can just run coaches straight to the ground. In any case if the SAG have said the station must be closed on match days where are these chartered trains going to stop?

Er no. The funding is from the department of transport (over £4 million), Centro, CCC and WCC as well as a European grant.

Yes, that is true, but we were led to believe that without the other contributions the entire EU contribution would have been lost. It seems therefore that there was a hasty plan to secure that proportion of the overall cost. This has resulted in a far from ideal situation with platforms too short and there being not enough rolling stock.
Is it unreasonable to think that in its muddled way these issues will get resolved.....eventually.
The alternative was that it wouldn't have happened at all. Too risky.

Apparently the 17.34 train from the Ricoh on Saturday evening to Coventry station has been axed.

According to Cov Mad anyway.

I'm sure that one hasn't ran on Matchdays anyway.
