No, not really. If your missus is ugly, she's always be ugly, the form and tinkering hopefully is temporary and can be rectified.

A better analogy would be, you have a decent looking missus with a good personality but recently she took up smoking. You don't like it, you think it looks unattractive, it's got a horrible smell and you're concerned about the impact on her health and would like her to stop, but you still love her.
