Linked to the big boys Spurs, Man. City and Liverpool yet chose Norwich who are not even safe from the drop yet, strange some might think I don't, he is more likely to get into their team than he would at the three mentioned, only 19 three year contract, does well and another move to a "big" boy by the age of 22 I would say a well thought out move for him.

I would also agree it's the better move for him.

I dont see Norwich getting relegated so I think he will be pushing for a first team place next season.

I agree, very good move for him.
If he went to Spurs or the likes he wouldn't be close to first team football for some time. End up loaned out for a couple of years, never settling, or sat in the U21s with no first team experience. And there's no guarantee he would make it after that, he might just be a little too lightweight.

With Norwich he has a chance to fight for the first team spot very quickly. Come pre-season training he will be fighting for it and could just make the bench in the premier league and get his chance to win a place playing first team football at the highest level early next season. He could do really well there. Im happy for the lad. He just needs to impress Norwich by helping us get automatic promotion now!

Executive vice chairman Chris Anderson has reacted to the news and admits that the club were reluctant for Maddison to leave:

A few mates are Norwich season ticket holders, funny how you read these deals, they see it as a sign they are going down and preparing themselves with some championship style players. If they stay up, they loan him back out or sell. The he weird and wonderful mind of a paranoid football fan

Norwich are a yo-yo club. We'll be playing them in the championship next year

The way games have gone recently, do you really think we'll be in the Championship next season? :D

Massive change of Norwich going down. They have made loads of signings, but people like Matt Jarvis.
