Poor kid. Don't get the hate. He's out injured and for some reason some people find his very being here offensive. All for the crime of trying to play for his hometown club.

100% with you on that shmmeee. This is someone who showed great talent and promise in the early stages of his career, and I for one hope he can overcome whatever has got in the way of that.

It’s nothing new though – I mean Bobby Gould was subjected to a campaign of nasty letters when he was a young player, and now we have the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] Century equivalent. OK the comments are probably meant to be light-hearted, but I doubt if that’s how it’s taken.

had a very good start to the sixfields season and then had a head injury against rotherham and was not really the same player again....

And playing nowhere nearly as badly as made out. He would be adequate replacement for Vincelot

Well said.

You need to be a dick to find a young homegrown player injured as a 'positive'.

Personally I would like to see all our young players who not getting game time out on loans. With 24 hour recalls.
It's such a shame when promising you talent fit in that grey area of not quite good enough to hold down a regular spot but good enough as back up.
They seem to do this for a few years then eventually move on.
I think they need to be playing regularly at these stages of their careers

I do wonder sometimes where he would be now if Gary Deegan hadn't left him with a parting gift at a key time in his development.

Yes, that was a massive setback for his development. I think he has ability he just seems to lack belief in it.

I know they didn't take him in the end but not many players get asked to come to Liverpool for a look at you whilst they consider a 1 million pound bid.
He must have something about him.
A loan to a succesful lower level team would help him

Considering whats happened since it's odd really that when he came on in his first game back he looked like one of the best players on the pitch for that half an hour. We were 3-0 down at the time with Gareth Bale and Clint Dempsey playing for the opposition. There must've been a reason why Liverpool took a look at him. Shame how it's worked out and hopefully a loan spell will help him regain some form and confidence.

Yep, superb that day against Spurs, the only one of our players who looked like they could cut it against Prem opposition. Still don't understand what has gone wrong really.

Seems a shy lad. I feel his downfall has all been down to confidence.

Would love to see him get one last chance.

Good luck to the lad. Hope the change of scene gives him back his belief. He had a lot of potential...I'm sure there is a quality player still in there

It's about time we offloaded CT and send him on his way. He just isn't good enough.

1 goal in 100 games. If you aren't going to score a lot as a midfielder, then you need to be important to the team in another way (like Fleck) but I don't think Thomas offers that

good player in the making there. agree with the above, i thought he was top notch v spurs however pressley changed his game and he started to play within himself and sometimes looked to scared to venture forward
