And haven't failed to score for the last 18 games. They last failed to score in October. That means to beat them, you have to score at least 2 goals.

Or the law of averages is going to kick in and they will stop scoring so many

That's actually a pretty incredible stat considering for a team top of the league Burton actually struggle to score lots of goals, only 42 in there 31 matches and no real goalscorer, only scored 2 more than bottom of the table Colchester and the third worst total of all the teams in the top half.

Peterborough have lost 5 out of 6. Talk about implosion!
Just Walsall and Gillingham now please, Otis.

Coming up this weekend.

Port Vale v Southend - A Port Vale win or a draw hopefully.

CITY v Fleetwood - A win would suit us best I think. ;)

Blackpool v Bradford

Burton v Walsall - Draw please!

Doncaster v Milwall - Hopefully Doncaster to halt their slide and grab a win.

Anyone remember when Doncaster fans were on here after our draw, saying that we weren't very good and they would be top 6 and challenging for auto's come the end of the season?

Oops! That's 6 games now without a win.

Gillingham v Chesterfield

Peterborough v Swindon

Rochdale v Sheff Utd.

Wigan v Bury - hopefully Bury's renaissance continues a bit longer.

Are you not listening to some on here Otis?

We only beat Bury because they are the equivalent of a pub team. We are shit because they should have scored twice. And they have only won two games since...including against Sheffield United ......because.......oh just remembered. Those calling them crap went quiet :D

We caught them on the right day. They were very poor, but we still had to beat them and not only did we do that, but we did it with style.

Or they were poor because we was good. Cole showed his class. And he played 90 minutes which hopefully he will keep up. Our defence looked much stronger. This helped our midfield.

No, they were poor too. Some of the defending was just awful and that had little to do with us.

Great corner from Cole, but Stokes was unmarked. For Cargill's goal their defender inexplicably allowed Cargill to get in front of him in the 6 yard box and the keeper should really have done so much better for Fleck's effort.

If we had let in those three goals we would have been debating them on here for a week as to how terrible our defending was.

You can only beat what is put in front of you though and the fact is, I believe we would have won anyway.

Don't think it's a case of we were good OR they were rubbish, it was a bit of both and like I say, I think we would have won anyway, the only difference probably being the margin of victory.

It was 6 I believe, because of their poor defence. It would have probably been 2 or 3 had their defence been better.

I do think it's wrong to deflect from City's efforts. It was a very good performance from us for sure.

Yep. As poor as Bury were at the back, I thought they made our defence work hard for the clean sheet.

We do need to be careful here though. Remember when we were buoyant after beating Crewe 5-0 away. After that we didn't win for 5 games and within that, lost 3 in a row. We now do accept that though it was a great performance, Crewe's defending was very poor on the day.

Can't let that happen again. Bury's defence were very accommodating. I think we can expect a much more resolute performance from the Fleetwood team, who will surely try and keep things very tight and hope to catch us on a set play or on the break.

But this time we have what looks to be a decent defence that helps the midfield and not have us arguing over which defender should have been played where.

I most certainly have and that's why I have predicted a victory Saturday.

Bury were terrible against us. We though played very well. Think a combination of those two things resulted in the 6-0 scoreline.

i agree

people can predict 8-1 4-0 or 1-0, general consensus seems to be a cov win so lets just be positive and hope it comes to pass

I will be very happy with a 1-0. Doesn't matter if it's 1-0 or 8-2. 3 points is 3 points.

Fingers crossed for an 8-2 though, eh!

I don't think we'll get a lot of help from those games. Maybe PV will win, and perhaps Wigan and Burton will be held to a draw.

we just have to keep winning and look at the table at the end of march and the muddy water will be clearer

Can see Vale,Swindon,R'dale & for some reason C'field getting something from
those games, hopefully Burton v Walsall draw.
But most importantly obviously a win for us.

Doncaster have got to win sometime. Been on a dreadful run, but not a bad team and they should be doing so much better. Have a sneaky feeling they could get something from the Millwall game.

Rochdale have the capacity to pull off some big wins (they won 3-0 at Walsall remember), so I can see them pulling off a draw against Sheff Utd.

Burton v Walsall is a tricky one to call, but a draw would suit us best if we win (make up ground on both of them)

Think Rochdale can win this, honestly don't rate Sheffield Utd,put a bit of a unconvincing
run together after cheating their way past us,but I think it's over now.

We certainly don't want a Southend win. That would dislodge us from the play-off positions, albeit possibly just until tomorrow.

Worst scenario is that Southend win and we lose! After so long in the top six, to be kicked out now would be the body blows of all body blows!

I do think we will win tomorrow though, so that scenario shouldn't arise. We now must stay top 6 for the rest of the season.

Port Valve have a very good home record, so a home win would be perfect. If they did win they would only be 4 points behind, but we would have 3 games in hand on them. That would be a very good position to be in.

Draw tonight would be great, a Port Vale win, even better.

What about the stern valve.

Ooh. Hadn't got a clue what you were talking about and then suddenly saw the error! :)

I typed in frustration I think, so when I said valve I was just letting off steam.

It's okay though. No pressure.
