Too many strikers (2 Viewers)

Given that many people believe we need an experienced goalie, wouldn't it be a good idea to get rid of one of our four experienced strikers and sign a 'keeper on a free. I wasn't at the game yesterday, but I don't think offloading Fortuné is a bad idea.

RCC would have been MOTM if it wasn't for Tudguys cameo. Made 3-4 very good saves and not at fault for any of the goals.

We have Armstrong, Tudgay, Fortune and Henderson.

One is top scorer, one doesn't get any time on the pitch, one is poor and the other hasn't really played yet
Come on! At least give us a bit of a clue as to which one is which!

Agreed.
Was a touch fortunate with one where it could easily been a penalty.

Just to clarify: I think RCC is a brilliant keeper, but he is carrying an injury at the moment, and if he was to be ruled out at any point, I don't think it'd be fair to pass that responsibility on to an 18 year old. God forbid that does happen, I think it'd be wise to let a striker go to free up the wage budget and get a goalie in.

According to Mowbray, Henderson is a 'battering ram'. Sounds about what we need right now.

I think Mowbray has answered this, it's too costly to sign an experienced keeper just to sit on the bench he has identified one he could get if RCC got injured that seems logical to me.

There's also not the problem of fitness for a keeper as there is with an outfield player.

There must be keeper's out there that we can bring in with just a finger click, so we are going about this in the right way.

I'd say it's a given that with all mowbrays experience he's had conversations with clubs about there keepers availability so that at a minutes notice we've a replacement on his way in. Much more cost effective than blowing cash on a no2. Plus the experience will do addai good.
