How likely is it that rather than admin (1 Viewer)

we could actually go into liquidation? Signs are ominous, using next years season ticket money for this year, once players have been sold and what with reduced gates and season ticket money for the following season how long could we realistically carry on for?

Didn't want to put that in my thread about being wrong in giving them a go so just used admin, not as scary a thought I suppose.

If all those other clubs can survive, I'm sure we can. Although we do have a reputation for firsts... Have any other clubs gone into liquidation?

Fiorentina did, didn't they? Only ones I can think of apart from that are lower and non-league clubs like Halifax, Boston and didn't Maidstone?

EDIT: Can't see it happening to us though.

We would be worth even less if we got liquidated. Our license to play in the football league ensures that we have some value. I'd say almost no chance of liquidation

I think you can add Newport County, Bradford Park Avenue, Workington Maybe Luton, lots and lots of smaller clubs.

Rushden and Diamonds being the most recent, with their hated rivals Kettering moving into their ground. Suppose that's like us going bust and Villa moving into The Ricoh....

So a lot of smaller clubs then. As I said, we are/were quite famous for "firsts" so I wouldn't rule it out. I can't see it happening personally and as someone mentioned, if Pompy can pull though, then surely we can!!

And I don't think that Wimbledon count as they were pretty much just moved and rebranded... or "stolen" as I like to put it. One of the greatest injustices in football IMHO. I will never cheer MK Dons

Good one NlHWC i totally forgot about Rushden, they have lost there ground and will not field a senior team until next season in the United Counties probably. Can you imagine that happening to us,they really made a example out of them, I think it was five years ago that the old chairman Max Griggs gave the club the stadium and with zero debt. It took just 5/6 years for incompetants who took over, to bancrupt them and to totally wipe the club off the map.

Wow!! Now Rushden, although not a massive club, have a good old history for cup runs etc... It really shocks me that they went down that path.

Rushden and Diamonds - Expulsion from the Conference

The club were expelled from the Conference National on 11 June 2011. This decision was made due to their unstable financial position, meaning they could not guarantee being able to complete all their fixtures in the 2011–12 season. The club faced a winding up petition on behalf of HMRC in the week commencing 13 June 2011, with reported debts of £750,000. A subsequent move to enter the Southern Football League was unsuccessful. The club entered administration on 7 July 2011.

Basically no club at the mo. Fans hoping to start up AFC Rushden and Diamonds in 2012.

SISU won't do either, they are the major creditors, so if we go into Admin/Liquidation they lose all their money. Not sure why people keep thinking either will happen.

I'm still confused as to what is going to happen. Just can't see how much Sisu have to gain by running this club into the ground. Best way for them to recoup their money, or at least a proportion of it is to sell a club that is successful on the pitch. Attendances will increase and we will be more desirable as a consequence. Do of course realise there is the Ricoh situation too mind.

Imagine CCFC in non league? Doing well and taking more away support than the home teams gate?

Strange but it may just happen.... :thinking about:

How the hell can they use next seasons money for this year? Fuck me talk about short sighted.

That must mean its total bollocks that SISU are funding losses. They are just piling up the debt against CCFC. They are not even using thier own money. W*nkers!
