and fair play to Italia, Tony etc in amongst their posts have been some of what Anderson has said in this article...... CA is applauded for saying it, others not and derided..... go figure

You're welcome ;)

Is there anyone at all, on this forum or elsewhere, that has ever seriously believed that CCFC were going to build a new stadium? I don't know anyone who believed it 2-3 years ago, and following all the lies about sites and deadlines surely even the most rabid Sisu apologist hasn't believed it in more recent times.

I do wonder though - did that Garlick woman ever believe it was likely to be built? Or did she fall for a con-trick, or - more likely - did they just pay her to front the nonsense?

RFC (who seems to have disappeared) swore that the new stadium was always just around the corner.

deluded fucker

In all seriousness I feel for RFC. I'm 99% certain he's a genuine fan who just backed the wrong horse in TF. I'd happily buy him a pint at a game and listen to him talking about the old days before I was around. IIRC he saw first hand the JH golden era.

Has he actually said how far he has got with his negotiations? I read that he is saying in his ideal world this is what he would like to be the scenario.

Don't get too excited over something that does not yet exist!

We might be stuck with our present owners for quite a while, no assets except for the name, cant see a rich buyer saving us now

I'm wondering if the outcome of the JR has been concluded and the parties informed, as I doubt much of this negotiation going well, with a potential JR2 waiting in the wings.
It's quite a positive approach and if it fails some poor PR goes to Wasps.
Confirms Fisher is all but done here and I doubt CA isn't working without JS approval.
But what a pack of lies we've been told by both Fisher and the Owner.
The money that was meant to cover Northampton and the phantom Stadium has simply never been there, appalling deception on their part.

Onye and orange Ken had better make space in the Sisu dungeon as they will soon have another pal to chat to if Joy isn't happy with this.

He names Swansea and man city we have nothing in common with their situations in the Prem it doesn't matter too much about anything apart from tv revenue.

So PR then?

This is an extremely welcome U-turn as far as I am concerned, and might even be a first step on the path back to sanity. But what an embarrassing picture it paints of SISU’s competence in these last few years.

I have always felt that a mutually beneficial relationship could be developed with Wasps, and fingers crossed we will get something like that.

Anderson is saying he’s confident it can be achieved, and that there is a lot of goodwill. To be cynical, it could just be an attempt to paint Wasps into a corner. But I prefer to believe that preliminary talks have gone OK, and better times are ahead. Pleeeease.

No he's been saying we have a deal of renting as we are. This is saying we want to be renting as if ACL are an independent overseeing two sporting clubs

He mentions premiership as that is always the issue. If the club gets to that level the reciprocal benefits to the stadium are huge and the hint is the football club should be the main benefactors.

It's exactly what I have been saying.

Every time I said we need to work with Wasps for a win win situation for both clubs you laughed it off.
Every time I said we need to work with Wasps to get what we want you laughed it off.

How little you really know.

Anybody else going along with CCFC and myself ????????

I'd concur largely and go further, possibly dangerously to suggest Wasps arrival could be an opportunity for all sport in the City to develop further and work together for mutual benefit and success and compete of course.
Forgive my naivety but that is what I'd like to see.

Timing of such press releases which actually say nothing as to what is being portrayed on here are everything.

I'm sure we will find out soon enough the reason for this one

Agree, Wingy. But then I hope in time we can take over and Wasps decide they would be better off in London.

wait till wasps change the stadium colors see whats said then by fans ha.

Even more reason to get into bed with them and decisions like seats etc will then take CCFC into consideration.
Up to know we have been building a new stadium and irritating Wasps (and their sponsors) with legal actions.

Just need to get the JR out the way and then the rebuild can start.
I suggest Sisu now know the outcome of it and are now seeing sense and making a change of direction.

Well we will see. If CCFC do want to be involved and their advances are spurned some posters really will have to show where their true loyalties lie.

Won't they?

To be honest OSB quite a few people saw the only way is a mutually beneficial arrangement between Wasps and CCFC.
Unfortunately we got shouted down by a small group of vocal posters.
Some I think because they genuinely can't see Wasps going for it.
Others I think due to their hate if anything Wasps related.

Going for what?

The funny thing is when the inevitable happens and the deal falls down those vocal supporters will be deriding wasps and the likes of you Italia and Tony will still be defending them.

Bring it on.

What a genuine real shame, it does sound like you want negotiations to fail

Bloody hell I got the impression you wanted it to fail, but I hoped I was wrong. However you are actually clearly desperate for it fail. Even if it is the best thing for the future of the club your ego is far more important!!!!!

This will be interesting....

You pair have probably got your fingers crossed that CA fails in what he hope's to achieve just so you can say I told you so, such is your mentality. You're both clearly setting yourselves up for that prospect. You can practically hear you salivating in your posts. Pretty sad really seeing as you're trying to pass yourselves of as CCFC fans.

So your fight to the bottom goes on. :claping hands: Good luck !!
If any deal falls down it means at least that CCFC/SISU have actually asked for something and we can then criticise Wasps on facts not fiction. You are already saying that it will fail before we have even asked. You will always be a victim.

As I have said CCFC need to show a commitment and then work with Wasps to get what they require.

It means an acceptance that Wasps are here to stay and the sad fact that they will be in control of our future.
But that does not mean that our gain will not also be theirs and in that respect it can be a 'win win'.

I always want the best for the City, so hopefully Anderson can negotiate something positive. No-one is expecting him to be successful on all 17 points surely?

It does sound like we now have a plan to work with.
Don't see how it can start though until the JR(s) are out the way.

If nothing comes from it I will look at the evidence on who is at fault. You will try your best to blame CCC. Then you will try to blame Wasps.
