This is the biggest joke I have ever heard, just shows how uneducated about football he is, you would get about 5people texting in and they will be stupid substitute ideas.
I wonder what thorn thinks off this...

Who said he did a good job? I haven't seen anyone say that.

Don't go over the top, he was brought in to help make money and find investors, he'd be coming up with good and bad ideas. This one was a bad idea and probably why it was dismissed instantly. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you keep doing the same - expect the same.

I like the idea. Just as I liked his idea about fans buying players.
They will probably never happen - especially in a british club - but new and creative ideas should be welcomed and even tried.

Don't go over the top? What you going on about? The fella is a Canadian who didn't have a clue about football or the day to day running of the club. He is partly to blame for the state this club is in.

What has he done good for the club?

What did I just say, it was a bad idea. Nothing more, nothing less. The way some people go on about these lot you'd think they were creating a new arian race. Get some perspective. It was an idea, was it implemented... No, because it was a bad idea. How do you know what ideas he came up with anyway? He may have come up with some investment that kept us afloat, paid the players wages etc. I keep saying it, I don't like SISU but good God I'm not going to build up hatred for them. This club has been here for over a 100 years before they came along and it will be here for over a 100 years after they go. I support the team, not the board and as much as I want new owners I can see that's not happening at the moment.

Also, what does being Canadian have to do with it? Comes across as slightly xenophobic

Behave.

Since he came to this club its been one bad idea after another...

Good swerve remind again what good has/had Brody done for the club?

As for him been Canadian.. oh yeah i forgot Canada lead the way when it comes to football dont they...

Come back to this thread when you can come to me with what Brody actually did to help the club rather then make accusations of someone been a xenophobe.

Damn - I'd just programmed "Get Bell, McSheffrey and Baker Off" into speed dial. Wonder what number we have to text to get Ken subbed off the board? 0845 - F*CKOFF

Look at it from a business perspective, get football supporters to text in at £1.50 a pop, this goes straight into SISU's coffers. Good business sense, all you need is football supporters daft enough to believe their text vote will actually have an influence... This is where your average Coventry fan comes into it.

That's how xfactor and co make there millions. Daft bints and schoolgirls who have nothing better to do on a Saturday and Sunday night then watch the utter rubbish and text away thinking there doing there part. Bit like the City i suppose, well watching utter rubbish part is anyway.

Jesus Christ! Where have I said he has come up with good stuff? Point it out to me. My point was to get some perspective and stop acting like he's the reincarnation of Hitler.

Your quote below from about an hour ago. You really do have a bad memory eh

And where have i said he's alongside Hitler? Never mentioned Hitler. You making up things as you go along?

Imagine being an away fan at the Ricoh? Get the number and text in. "Substitution for Coventry City, number 9 Lucaz Jutkiewicz. And replacing him number 33 Lee Burge!!!!"

The worst idea I've ever heard.

Ok, that was more a comment to point out you have absolutely no idea what's going on behind the scenes, the things you don't hear about. It was more than likely he wanted more communication with fans - which supporters had been getting angry about. So however much you didn't like him, the fans asked for that and got it (although he couldn't win with that in the end either). What I'm saying is, for the 3rd time, PERSPECTIVE is needed on a man you don't even know that has done nothing to you apart from be involved in the club. I don't care about him, he's nothing to do with our club anymore.

Not for or against brody don't know the guy on a personal level to say he is this that or the other.
But surely no-one can say he may not have come up with any good ideas as we are not privvy of the day to day things that may or may not have gone on while he was here so maybe he did have some good ideas (don't know).
As mentioned maybe this is one of those ideas to get money into the club as people would have texted in there views during a match of that I am sure.
He has gone now maybe the rest may follow soon (hopefully) but there is no point in people getting nasty with each other over this as all this is doing is making people say things that can soon get out of hand.
The big problem at the moment is I think it is all coming to a head the next thing city fans will be fighting each other on a saturday because feelings towards sisu are quickly getting to boiling point with some for and some against and emotions are getting very high.

Here's the txt options:

If you want Juke substituted send 'juke out' to xxx1 (cost 10p)
If you want Gael substituted send 'Gael out' to xxx2 (cost £1)
If you want sisu substituted send 'sisu out' to xxx3 (cost £100)

Well surely if he did do any good he'd be telling us via the telelgraph, instead all were hearing is its the fans fault for that not going games, the rent is too high and a text your subs in carry on. I agree none of us know whats going on behind the scenes but the fact is, the club has gone backwards since 2010 not forward. The blame therefore goes to him and others in my eyes.

Emotions are high for a reason. The club is heading into the 3rd tier of football for the first time since the 60's. We don't own our ground, we have minimum in terms of assets. We have/had board members and a chairman who don’t even reside in this country. What good has this new regime done i.e Brody, Clouting and Tango man?

We are truly screwed and with an excellent youth academy i can see prospects been sold for minimum value because clubs will know were desperate.

Even the most 'half glass full' fan can see this club is in turmoil and i cant see a way out of it.

"So half time now and that means only one thing: Competition time!

This week sees the return of a fans favourite game 'Text for a Sub', where all you have to do is text the name of your desired player to 0845 R-I-P-O-F-F and the player with the highest number of votes will be replaced! Previous participants are reminded that the old rules do still apply, so David Bell remains immune from the public vote. The participants who choose the player with the most votes will be put into a draw for the chance to win that luxury trip for two to Portugal so good luck!!" Terms and conditions apply.

*Terms and conditions*

1. Texts cost £5 plus your standard message rate, dignity, and time spent when your head could have been in your hands.
2. All proceeds go to the fund for false promises.
3. One of the members for the trip for two to Portugal MUST be Ken Dulieu.
4. We reserve the right to ignore all fan input and do as we so please.

It's a crazy, crazy idea.

The fans choose when to substitute players and who to substitute? But the manager chooses the substitutes? Why not let the fans choose the substitutes too. In fact, let's have the fans choose the team. Let's choose who is going to take the corners and free kicks and the tactics to boot. Let's just get rid of the manager altogether.

What a complete loon.

This is an utter joke, its embarrassing!
We have a manager for this job, what would happen if subs weren't fully fit and fans voted them on and we lost the game, would the manager have to pick up the slack? He'd just look like a "Yes man" and a SISU puppet, what would be next? Text in your starting 11, Text a tactic, Text a new manager? It doesn't look professional at all. What a crap idea. Brody's silence over the last few months was golden because when he does talk it is utter shit!

Chief Commentator!
Never have i heard such rubbish before! The guy is a complete tool. And Ady Boothroyds no better. Albeit he says he wasnt impressed but he creddited Brody for thinking of new ideas!! If only he thought of a version where fans got to choose their board, chairman etc......

All I was trying to do was defuel a situation that was getting close too a slanging match will obviosly is not what is needed right now.
I have stated on a previous thread that I admitted I was wrong about defending these people in charge and having long debates with people about them and what they may or may not be trying to do.
I just see nothing of any good can come from fans getting at each other, because if this happened on a match day then how would that look and portray us as a club?
Yes emotions are high and I do fully understand why and yes the club is in serious shit, but one day they will be gone and inner fighting amongst forum members and amongst fans who proberly all want the same thing helps nothing.
That does not mean everyone should agree far from it as it would be a boring forum, but maybe a cooler head is what is sometimes needed.
I hope you take no offence from that Cus Wyken as it is just my opinion overall and not aimed at you in any way.

It was clear enough for me but unfortunatly I think some are getting a bit techy now understandable what with all thats going on and happening to the club we ALL support and we all want an end to this miserable saga in our clubs history.

Without getting into a ‘slagging’ match. What annoyed me was that you put he has done good things we might not know about.

Now if he did anything remotely good for the club we would have known. He was appointed director on 24th November 2010. From then till now we’ve won about 7 games (Obviously not his fault) but the club in general has been on a downward spiral on and off the pitch.

No suprise since the board have been ion control we’ve gone from a top 6 team to relegation certainties in a year.

I love this club and i hate seeing what’s happened hence my strong stance on the muppets and i don't know how anyone can even in the slightest terms stick up for them.

Why did it annoy you? What did that statement do to you personally? I was playing devils advocate, you know, a bit of objectivity. Don't take things so personally, it's a forum for debate, not to get sensitive over things that aren't directed at you.
