The last over of that crazy India v Bangladesh 20/20 match (3 Viewers)

It came down to Bangladesh needing just 2 runs from 3 balls. Game over! Or that's what you would have thought.

Yet, Bangladesh lost 3 wickets in 3 balls and they were not even very good balls at that, a long hop, a full toss and a slightly better wide ball.

Bangladesh totally cocked it up big time. They needed just 2 singles, or 1 run to make it a super over, but went for 2 glory 6's!

Well worth watching.

Unbelievable, having bet on Bangladesh as you can imagine I was tearing my hair out. Possible backhanders coming the Bangladeshi's way?

Well does make you wonder.

They needed just 1 run from 3 balls to make it to a super over. Couldn't even manage that.

As the Sky team panel said post match, those first 2 balls of the last 3 were awful deliveries.

A win for Bangladesh would have almost certainly meant elimination for the hosts, India, so there was an awful lot at stake.

Does make you wonder doesn't it.

How can you need just 2 runs off 3 balls, yet lose 3 wickets in 3 balls to very poor or average deliveries.

Can't help be just a tad suspicious. Mind, did you see their player with the last 4, which left 2 needed. He was already celebrating like they had won the game.

Bet he feels a right Muppet now! ;)

Haha, yes, my celebrations were pretty similar to that, I didnt think it was possible to not run at least 1 from 3 balls.

The two that they hit towards the boundary, all it needed was from one of those to be hit along the floor and youd be able to make it down the other end.

I would have prefered 3 run outs in that situation to what they actually did.

I tweeted at the time the the first 2 balls of those last 2 needed a chip into the deep for 1 & just go hell for leather running for the 2nd the throw would have to be decent over the stumps for a potential run out (India's fielding is well below the standard of England Aus SA etc)

Very very poor cricket all 3 balls weren't particularly great the last ball deceived the batsman who expected a fuller Yorker.

What's the betting India now go on to win the World Cup.

Don't think it was to be fair. I thought it might be at first, but the Sky pundit panel looked at it and came to the conclusion it was fine.

The last ball was a wide.

Looked fine at the time, he was deceived by the fact it was short and slow & outside off, the batsman would have been expecting full and straight like the 2 previous balls.

Good delivery to bowl when it comes off, batsman picks it you've given him effectively a free hit!

The cynic in me can't but help but think this and many other sports are open to myriad betting scams.
Sad but very likely true.
