Plan b and dealing with opposition changes (2 Viewers)

It's back to the thorn says with being unable to react to opposition changes, why can opposition managers always spot things and change it up. We can never seem to react, our reaction is just to do a substitution rather than change the system.

We throw Henderson on, which you would think means we are going to be direct with Murphy and Jones playing off his flick ons, but we play the same as if it's Armstrong up there

Yep, agree.

This is also the 3rd time Mowbray has blown it and had his teams drop like a stone out of the play-offs.

That too points to an inability to change.

Agree with regards to Henderson we played basically no route 1 with him on last night.

I don't get why not!? Caused problems v Swindon plus as he showed last night he provides nothing when the balls on the deck.

Last fifteen minutes we were tapping it round at the back, we were losing.

Should have had Murphy and Jones next to Henderson and putting it on his head every time.

There was no point trying to.run it into the net

The players have been to told to pass and they don't have the onfield ability/brain power to change it up, but Mowbray needs to help them when he wants to go more direct get Fleck off for a start ( but I would say that about nearly every situation)

He said he won't play the Bulgarian guy until he is used to our system. The only one who wasn't last night was Jones.

We should have multiple systems.

Any footballer should be able to put it on his head every time.

does he need to learn to sit really deep and pass it to the defenders, I want to see one of the midfielders breaking into the opposition half

Promotion sides are never built with teams that can't defend and grind out results. Mowbray's sides can never defend. They play attacking football that is received well by fans initially, until they realise that his sides flatter to deceive, and peter out when they get found out. Good old Mogga.

It's fine if you are scoring more than the opposition, but not only are we letting in silly goals, the goals have dried up at the other end too.

Don't worry though, on the back of letting in silly goals, not scoring up the other end, losing 4 out of the last 6 home games, losing 8 out of the last 12 and only winning 4 out of the last 19 matches ...

We can still reach the play-offs! Yay!!

stupid thing about Peterborough game was that they started to press the back four with 3 or 4 players and we still tried passing it sideways or even backwards deep in our own half. the pressure caused mistakes and took away all the momentum we had built up. at least start to look long so the defence can move up and get the play away from the danger areas.

Henderson is a complete donkey. Makes Fortune look like Messi.

Seriously Henderson I cannot see the life of me what he brings. Rather play the kids Bassala/ Thomas any day ahead of him.

But agreed TM tactical changes haven't been working during the matches.
