His 'rescue' act is nothing to shout about, many have achieved the same before him. Infact only 3 have failed in the last 60 years or so of this clubs history. His makeover exercise was endearing, some will say welcomed, others a little more cynical may have described it as being a distraction exercise. What can't be denied are the last 3 months results which would have been enough to have got most managers sacked twice over!Good grief no. Calm down dears. You may have egg on your faces if we still scrape a play off berth.
He rescued this club from a seemingly dire situation at the end of last season. He has implemented many changes behind the scenes that has been fundamental in our much improved season and set us up for future seasons and a way forward, re-instilling the ethos at the football club that was lacking. Rome was not built in a day folks.
We all maybe got carried away with promotion thoughts and that's why we seem so negative now. But while loss of form has been dramatic for a while (while a win away, draw at home and defeat away suggest that's leveled out some what) we must surely believe we have one of the best managers around for this level? TM probably has a good assessment of league 1 now and a good manager is always on the front foot thinking of next season.
If we don't make a play off place which looks less likely now, then I'm at least very optimistic about a great season next year.

I personally think he's a little fortunate to still be in a job. I think our owners have been caught out, are a little confused about the position(s) we have found ourselves in at the right end of this league and just don't know how to call it!
I'm with matesx - 10/10 for your optimism but maybe this dog had his day(s) from Aug - Dec last year. As I've stated before - keep rolling those dice (figuratively speaking) double six will come in eventually. Not until at least next Dec/Jan tho.

The rescue I was referring to was not from relegation but the club in general. it was in a bad way with no insight how to move it forward from hedge fund owners and poor management at the top level of the company. he has put the club on a better footing that will stand the test of time in the coming seasons. previously we were like a ship without a sail going in one direction (hell in a hand cart)
So he has had a few months of poor results. A lot of that compounded by injuries and unmistakable change of mentality since JOB and Madison events. The latters move and subsequent loan back must have been a wrenching decision taken away from TM hands, but the players form since has been left in the taxi ride back from Norwich. Turner was unfortunate injury as was Reda. Cole has huffed and puffed but his presence lit up the club for a while. Some things you can't legislate for at times and though Arma is not scoring and our ever changing defense is making mistakes we have a tough task on our hands.
It will turn around and we will have had a pretty decent season in the end, one all of us would have taken at kick off.
[h=2]If we lose tonight[/h]
Imo if we lose and keep losing hell be sacked, or we win and nearly make play offs hell stay another season or we have a mixture of losing and winning but not near play offs he will walk by summer or get another job offer thats better.
Coventry United?Whose going to offer him a better job after this clusterfuck?
Sod the play offs, we won't be playing a part in them. I just want to see a win and maybe another before seasons end just to slightly stabilise this very wobbly ship. It goes without saying that defeat (unthinkable at the moment) against Col U this evening will further impact on everybody at the club.People will say we 'must win' the next game to have any chance of reaching the play-offs.
It's your last paragraph I'm having trouble swallowing.
This is depressing now
It is so very clear teams found a way to nullify us and we had no answer.Forget about it the way we are playing since Christmas we wouldn't survive in league two
