Months ago they should have pointed out that he has form for post-Xmas declines and asked what he was doing to stop it happening again.

It was a good move. Joe Cole went central and Vincelot more advanced and it provided us with our best spell of the game.

It was clearly working. We had yet again though, no cutting edge to our game and failed to break down a team that had conceded 87 goals in the season.
