The Walking Dead on Monday nights?

Never seen it....but it sounds a bit like last night's performance at the Ricoh!

When we were still in the play offs it became obvious we would finish outside, I said 12th
After witnessing the last 2 games I will say 16th.
I can't see more than 3 points more , if that

11th seems achievable now - with a bit of luck!

I hate being a Coventry Fan sometimes!!!!

Going to have to go some to get 11th I think with the games we have coming up. Some real tough ones.

Sheff Utd. play Southend tonight. Either team win and we'll be down to 10th with the next 4 opponents being Gillingham, Wigan, Bradford and Millwall.

11th may be a tad optimistic.

Wasn't there a poll done early season asking where you would be happy with us finishing?
I'm pretty sure I said I would have been happy with mid-table finish*
Feel we will finish mid-table but the happy bit is fucked...

*unless somebody finds it and proves me wrong.

But on the positive side, football's all about surprises. Now our playoffs prospects are reduced to a long-shot, we'll probably pick up form and win the next two, just to tantalise before we get as far as Oldham, lose and it'll become mathematically impossible.

No lower than 10th IMO.

Hmm, thing that worries me is the team now giving up and going through the motions. Nowt to play for other than pride and how much have we got of that left?

I think we have given up. I don't expect any chasing of lost causes, or any blood sweat and tears.

Not had much of that anyway, but I think we are feeling sorry for ourselves and the performances on the pitch will show just that.

Sorry I think the majority of the team are now thinking of where they'll be holidaying in June.
I was surprised to hear TM suggest he hasn't set any points target to the squad.

I think the biggest factor is that, of the starting XI last night, only 2 know they are going to be playing here next season.

As for the rest of the season, just because you and others on here are writing off our hopes, doesn't mean that the team have (although i di agree that they look a bit like they've given up). We do still have a faint hope - if we can pull out all the stops and get a few surprise wins, we're potentially back in the mix. It's a tall order but where there's life there's hope. 21 points to play for, only 8 behind. Yes we have tough teams to play but as we saw against Colchester, there are no easy games.

If we get a few hammering before the end of the season will the owners sack him?

I was wondering that earlier - a bit like Coleman where we were threatening playoffs near the end of March, then went 10 in a row without a win, got thrashed 4-0 home by Watford and it was bye bye CC.

Sheff United down in 13th are only 1 point behind us.

Think we may have a fair way to fall yet. :(

I'll be happy if we finish top 8 - said so at the start of the season. With our upcoming run of games and current form and position, that would be a reasonable salvage.

Our highest finishing league position in L1 so far is 9th (before 10 pts deducted) in the first season down, so bearing that, and the 65 points we gained, would represent a success.

It's all a dream guys, we are in the top two and this horrible negativity is our past experiences of a City fan dominating our nightmares.

Bottom half for me I think. 3/1 on SkyBet? That's worth £20 of anyone's money!

What does it matter where we finish, it will be outside the play-offs. What we need to do now is give some playing time to the youngsters.

7th - after a winning run that hauls us back in it we finish outside by 2 points when we concede a last minute equaliser at Oldham. The 6th place team goes on and gets promoted after their opponents are decimated by an unexpected outbreak of HN51.

Some will blame the defence. Oggy, refugees, Tim Fisher and Carl Baker will be possible suspects in the inquest that follows.

Time and again it's the hope that kills you.
