What are Sisu's motives for staying? (2 Viewers)

Don't worry mate, I can give back more than they could ever imagine. Just pisses me off that they bring nothing more than insults to the table. I love nothing more than a good, non insult debate. everybody has opinions, and for the most part that's all they are...opinions! Apart from those that try to use them as FACTS" Isn't that right Grenduffy?

Says the man who's entire argument is devoid of any discernible facts.

Correct Otis and all those you name would be seen as "senior" players, I think far too much is made of that senior word. Ricketts was okay to start with but at 34+ age has just caught up in my opinion

Totally agree.

Start of the season he was one of my favourite players and he was putting in consistently good performances in week in week out.

I too think it might just be a case of giving him a rest. We have a stack of 34 year olds and he is the only one playing every single game, apart from injury.

It wasn't dropping him as such, just giving him a rest. We keep giving rests to Joe Cole and don't label that as dropping him.

41 appearances for him this season. That's a lot of strain on a 34 year old body.

Totally agree with Italiahorse on this one. As you say Tm has been given a workable budget. Both Burton and Walsall were lucky to have players who want to play for each other and the Club. This shower of prima donna's(Murphy) hits a good shot and stands there for 5 mins admiring it. Ricketts shouldn't even be playing "Walk Football" Cole, been over the hill for quite a few years now(Should be carrying a oxygen tank and mask on the pitch with him) As for Fleck.. The most overrated player at the Club. Hit a 60 yards pass perfectly, then follows it up with 5 more 60 yarders that couldn't hit a barn door. I think Arma has been played way out of position for at least 3 months Maddison hasn't wanted to know since his "Big signing to Norwich"... Martin, Stokes, Vincelot, and RCC are the only ones that seem to care about the Club. Very sad situation :(

I think Burton and Walsall would disagree that they are 'lucky'. Both clubs have worked hard at creating a decent squad capable of getting promotion and playing for each other week in week out, I wouldn't call this luck.

The players you mentioned are under TM's watch so surely this isn't the owners fault here more down to the manager???

Perhaps "Lucky" is the wrong word, maybe "Good selection" on behalf of their manager. With reference to TM... true, but Who sanctioned these signings? ;)

I could understand this if we were questioning his fitness and the way he plays. So what are the excuses for simple basic defensive errors? Cannot be over used or fatigue.
He's now.......
Unable to defend at a set piece....
Unable to track his man...
Cannot win a header....
Up till October I was happy with him, was doing ok. Distribution was great.. Tackling was not bad either, but completely lacks any of his qualities we signed him for

I think fatigue can indeed play a big part to be honest.

I would be more concerned if they put a stop to them to be honest SBK, you look at Villa, Liverpool etc where these 'committees' agree on players which just isn't healthy. You have to rely on the manager and his team to pick the best players, whether they get that right is a different story but did they back him, I would say yes this season.

Im not so sure, he sat out the Oldham game before Xmas and has been poor since. I think the majority is lack of concentration.... Lack of commitment....I think he lost all interest to the cause.
I think the bulk part is down to the swapping and changes to the defence.
Also I think he plays better with a dominant defender. I've looked at some stats and it backs it up.
He's played 40 games this year.
20 CB -- 17 RB -- 3 LB
12 games he played with reda, (first 5 as CB next 7 as RB) team and himself were solid 9 goals conceded.
Next 5 as CB (pre turner)8 goals conceded, defence leaked badly errors creeping in conceded
Next 4 (alongside turner) RB 4 goals conceded.
Form tailed off badly after turner left.
He's not the man to lead a back line or captain a team.

When you see Bury in 10th position and they are only 7 points away in 10th position. You realise it is a very tough league.
One the team in 10th are only 7 points away from us despite the amazing start we have had to the season.
Secondly they are team with a big budget underachieving.

Not sure why you keep mentioning Burton and Walsall they are doing brilliantly and yes I am sure on less than our Budget. They are over achieving and it's fantastic.

Last year our budget was between 6-8th in the division.

I can't believe our wage bill is not in the top 6 clubs.

You didn't help in another thread.

And didn't we have a top 6 budget as well?
There's a lot of talk about the size of the budget, but this is only part of it.
It also depends on your starting point,if your a settled top 10 squad with a
full quota of players,a smaller budget will suffice.
However if you're squad is full of gaping holes then not only will you
need a bigger budget, you will also have to integrate more players
into a team, with no time to spare.

@ Ian1779.... I'm still waiting

This was a particular favourite. Saying that SISU's court actions will hit the taxpayers of Coventry in the pocket. But absolutely no mention of the potential wrongdoing on the part of CCC.

Wankers like you lot that don't pay taxes towards CCC. Let's see what tax/rates payers in Coventry will think of you now that SISU have got another court hearing and could actually win their case!!!..............Taken from the court case this afternoon.... "They will argue that, during that time, the CCFC suffered substantial loss of earnings as a result of “being forced” to move to Northampton. They also claim they suffered reputational damage and will also point to Football League points losses. Sisu sources have suggested the compensation claim could run into hundreds of millions of pounds. Justice Ryder said: “There’s a damages claim which includes loss of points from the Football League. Given that, an appeal should be granted. “There’s a real prospect of relief being obtained should the appeal be successful.” ......... If SISU do win, it's the people of Coventry that will have to pay this scum, not the likes of Torchy, Grenduffy and a few more. How much do you like these pricks now tax/rate payers of Coventry? A genuine question now... Would you have been supporting SISU if they had fuck all to do with our football club?

You've never heard of TV, youtube, etc?.... What you're saying is my opinion is worthless, whereas Usskyblue in USA is worthy. We have fans that submit their opinions on here from Thialand, Denmark, Norway, even as far afield as Australia who have never or very rarely gone to CCFC games, yet their opinions are better than mine? Grow up for fucks sake!
I haven't said it's worthless, but I'd take somebody who goes to every games opinion on a players performance, a team performance, opposition performance etc over somebody who didn't see it.

If somebody hasn't been to a game all season, they can't really tell from a couple of minute highlights. It isn't an invalid opinion, but there is a difference.compared to somebody at every game. It's like having an opinion on a film if you have only seen the trailer and reading reviews.

Myself included if I wasn't there.

It's common sense really isn't it?

If I didn't go to an away game but for example cj did, who'd have a better idea on the game?

Why was nobody moaning about investment when we were winning? Why was nobody moaning about investment when we signed joe Cole?

This is a particular favourite. Wanting to go on about potential wrongdoing by CCC when all SISU have won in court is the right to appeal another loss in court. Meanwhile our club and us suffer.

Expect better from you Nick on this one. I never saw Muhammed Ali live but I know how great he was and could probably talk about his performances, strengths/weaknesses etc.

I f*&king hate it when things like that are said - "you don't go to games so your opinion is mute/invalid etc". Bollocks. There's many reasons why people cannot attend games and it's not up to you or others to judge whether their opinion is valid based on how many games they do/do not go on.

Not saying I agree or disagree with everything the poster in question says but I'm happy in the fact that my opinion is valid when I talk about CCFC players, despite watching 1-5 games a season on average.

If you just enjoy the football when you are winning you get questioned by someone called Nick for not moaning when you start losing as usual.

Hence the word potential. The club was doing fine before Xmas and no-one gave 2 shits about off the field stuff. We've suffered because of players and manager not being up to the standards they set themselves.

I rode the wave... Just had that feeling that it would not be forever. Footballs a funny game, and were Coventry city!!
Think a few of us were sceptical about it all, including TM about what we were achieving. Just before Xmas things looked to be on the turn with our luck in games and players.
Having said that I at least thought the playoffs were on!

Because when all said and done,it's the team we are all interested in
the rest is just an unwanted sideshow.
If the team is winning then naturally we will be happy, basically success
on the pitch hides a multitude of sins off it.

Again, I've never said it was invalid.

It's common sense, I'd expect somebody to be able to get a better opinion if they have seen every game than somebody who has only seen three minute highlights.

It doesn't make any opinion invalid though does it?

Wrong. There was a few times where I got suckered into stupid debates during this time that tried to blame everyone but SISU for our woes.

Boo Hoo, I didn't mention the nasty widdle CCC as well boo hoo. It's common knowledge of late, I've said that CCC were to a certain extent to blame. Still not to the proportion of SISU though. The above comment of mine is NOT a Opinion..... "They will argue that, during that time, the CCFC suffered substantial loss of earnings as a result of “being forced” to move to Northampton. If SISU do win, it's the people of Coventry that will have to pay this scum, not the likes of Torchy, Grenduffy and a few more. I haven't told any lies.Nor is it an opinion. It's truth, and factual. I don't live in Coventry but will be sick to my stomach for the people of Coventry. If SISU do indeed win the JR. Anymore shit you want to try and throw my way? Get your facts straight mate. Not supposition!
