As people now saying everything is short term and it wouldn't bring success, how many people moaned about loans when we were hammering teams? how many moaned about wage budget when we were hammering teams then signed Joe Cole?

With the team doing well (for the first time in years) it's pretty obvious that
fans are going to grasp it with both hands and make the most of it.
In the same way it's just as obvious that when normal service was
resumed on the pitch , the same concerns come to the fore.

If the concensus is that the bad results are now down to them, then the good results must have also surely?
Or are good results down to Mowbray, and bad results down to SISU? The same as good signings are Mowbray, and the bad ones he was forced into them by SISU?

On the pitch this season we had a more than competitive squad. Not up there with Wigan, but certainly not 13th place bottom half standards.
If people are saying SISU to blame for the bad run, surely they must be for the good run?
I'd love them to put millions in, but then down the line we end up in the shite again like last time. So we are the same as most other League One teams aren't we?
I can't comment on investment, backing etc until I see next season's squad. Progress is being made at least with signing permanent players already rather than last minute.
The club isnt ran well at all, it has no plan and a run of results may have blinded a few but most know that winning games being top of the league will only be sustainable if the owners want progress. These owners don't that, they want stability in L1 with a higher than average L1 fanbase to survive until the court cases are resolved or JS decides its better her investors take what they can and get out.
Come summer they will be banging the drum about ambition, progress and all other things to spike ST sales they may even say promotion this year or maybe next!!! is the goal. This is bad owners trying to survive until they have had enough, i think its about time the fans show they have had enough and not get misdirected into falling for a run of results. I would also like to ask them if James Maddison money will be spent on a replacement or has that been a misbudget aswell.

Im not slating SISU for the teams poor form this season, I'm slating SISU for
their poor form over the last 5,6 or7 years.
The early season form on the pitch was a very welcome surprise,unfortunately
with no real foundations in place we will start next season on a 'wing and a prayer '
again.

The court case has 3 outcomes. SISU win and awarded compensation. SISU win and not awarded compensation. SISU lose. None of us have any idea how much the compensation could/would be. It may be hundreds of millions. It may just be the losses incurred at sixfields. OSB will have more idea than me but think the total losses to now are approx 30million. If SISU are not awarded 30million, will they walk away? We know they can be stubborn.
Why would they not want promotion? They have stated they will not put any money in. That the club must be self sustainable. They know the fans want millions spent and are unhappy that they refuse to do that but that hasn't changed their stance. If the club was to be promoted it would just continue to live within it's means. Ticket revunue, sponsorship and TV money would increase which would be countered by increase in mainly wages.
Whilst there appears to be a lack of a coherent plan, would TM have really signed up for two years without any substance at all? He mentioned using TV money to build a squad which would fall in line with being self sustainable. I don't think they have a plan for the premiership but do we really believe they are against it? Whilst the outcome of the court case is unknown, premiership football would cover their losses so why would they not be open to it? No they refuse to spend millions on getting there, in part because they already have and failed. In part to their poor decisions, in part to success and failure being a thin line in football.
Chris Coleman was poor here but got Wales to Euro 2016 built on what Gary Speed had started. Did any City fan think he was any good after us? Aidy Boothroyd got Watford promoted, started really well here and then it went south.
How exactly do the fans show they have had enough? NOPM? How will that benefit TM and his ability to bring players in if the club is self sustainable and SISU will not put money in? Less money equals less quality players which equals less positive results which results in relegation.

My issue isn't loans, plenty of teams have profited with them, or short term contracts, not ideal but now a modern trend. My issue is how we have crumbled beyond belief. Now I have no time for sisu, parasites in my opinion but our slump lies at one door, the manager's nowhere else, he picks the team, trains the team creates a playing system, etc, etc. I have or had time for Tony Mowbray, still have to an extent but our demise is a manager issue to put right and TM has failed miserably.anyone who thinks sisu or their man at the helm Chris Anderson have somehow conspired with whoever to lose games is frankly potty !

I still think they are creaming off circa £2M a year in management fees or whatever..
I'm advised they are not but its all smoke and mirrors to me.
I'll still stick with my gut feeling as I can't see any reason their investors allow them to have millions tied up in the club without some return (maybe future return).
How have you judged every other pre season under Sisu then, budgets got higher, squads got stronger, club has been very progressive on and off the field?. I bet none but always next year hey. Nik what are you waiting for, really, you and i both know they have not improved this club in any way shape or form, i admire your persistence and patience.

I think some pre seasons have been shocking.
For example when they allowed Andy Thorn to go mental and sign a load of shite.
I'll wait and see before I judge how we compared to other League 1 teams, what they do and how we should be able to compete. We have already signed players in advance which we haven't before like this.

Even when we were top of the league, i was asking myself, how many of this team, squad or club are set up for championship football. I came to the answer not many in the team and certainly not the club owners were ready for this. The only ones ready for a better standard and to see progression were us fans.
I dont think anyone should be fooled by a lovely wallpaper, nice kitchen and a fantastic bathroom when the business renting the house is built on sand, with no ambition to build their own house, never mind make it the best in the street.

The old adage is that "the table never lies" we are exactly where the squad deserves to be over the season so 13th is as good as we are. Everything else is subjective. All clubs are capable of a string of results over a short period which is what we have achieved (probably an improvement on last year) but we did not have the quality to sustain a challenge over the whole season.
Regarding "we would end up in the shite again" makes me smile as we have not left the last ten years of shite to get beck into it, financially things could really not be any worse for CCFC as it stands.

ok -our average gate has fallen by about 8.000
ok -we have become a below average league 1 club
