No stokes or turner or cargill or willis....whats your point?

The point is we've missed out due to bungling ineptitude by the management. This is a top 6 squad and Mowbray has blown it.

Good 2 wins, we've amassed 7 points from 12 against teams in the top 6. We're certainly more difficult to beat at the expense of attacking flair.

Too late, 6 points off atm.

I realy don't think it is. Look at the other teams fixtures, they cant ALL win there 3 games, if we do we may well sneak in. Obviously us winning all 3 is a big ask, but not impossible, Gills have a shocking run in, that will help. PUSB I believe

The point you were making was that we had won 2 games on the trot because reda wasnt in the team and despite bigi, rose, cole playing and they are all shit!

Even though it was only by one goal we've taken 3 points away tonight. Not only that we now have two wins in a row. I hope we can keep this up for the rest of the season.

"2nd half we became a little bit too slow. We weren't winning matches, but 2 great performances and victories. Struggling for words as to where those 10 weeks went where we couldn't beat Rochdale and Fleetwood but there you are"

I love the way you post how individual players are rubbish, then claim it is a top 6 squad. You are full of crap.

Mowbray pretty much says what I've said. We should have beaten the likes of fleetwood and Rochdale. Doesn't know what went on in those 10 weeks and we should be in the top 6.

Great. Bodes well for next season.

Grendel's had a nightmare tonight, hopefully he'll blame it on not having his glasses and posting whilst on his phone, that would make the evening even more enjoyable.:)

If course it's a top 6 squad. Mowbray says it is don't you believe him!

It is almost certainly too late.

We can get to 72 points (have to win all 3 games).

For Gillingham, 1 win, 1 draw, 1 defeat, would give them 73 points. Wouldn't be able to catch them.

For Barnsley, 1 win, 1 draw, 1 defeat, would give them 73 points. Wouldn't be able to catch them.

We can catch Rochdale and/or Sheff Utd and Scunthorpe, but the 6th and 7th teams are going to be so much harder.

We've left ourselves just too much to do. We have improved our slim chances greatly though after these 2 wins, but we really could have done without Barnsley winning tonight to be brutally honest.

Anyway I'm really annoyed now as we are not getting in the most offs but there is no conspiracy at all about losing games. No crap about win bonuses.

Just a manager who when the pressure was on couldn't buy a win.

There is no excuse at all for this squad failing to achieve top 6 - it's a cluster fuck and an opportunity gone.

Apparently most of the players are crap according to you, but when it suits your argument they are good enough to achieve play offs.

No because we are not in the top six...too many injuries in defence and too many lacking consistency in midfield Fleck, Cole, Maddison, JOB, Murphy, Fortune.

Yes but it isn't much better calculating what results and points we need to get in the play offs, rather than calculating how many points we need to be safe from relegation like past seasons.

It's ironic in the extreme.
During the early part of the season when we were doing well, most people were saying our downfall will be the April fixtures, so now we have taken 7 points against Gillingham, Wigan, Millwall, and Bradford with only the narrowest of defeats against Wigan, to end one of the worst runs of form I can remember. You just can't predict results based on form.

Sorry? I've said a couple of players are. Mowbray says he can't understand what went wrong in those 10 weeks. Are you reassured by that? I'm not. It's a huge failure for him not to have git the club in the top six. He said "oh well" sorry I'm not happy about it. It's not acceptable it's an opportunity blown and it's not good enough.

Got to say i agree although looking at fixture lists:

Gillingham have: Burton, Shrewsbury and Millwall
Barnsley have: Sheff U, Wigan and Colchester

So while yes both teams could lose two games looking at both of their run ins, would still doubt us winning all 3 of ours. Goal difference could also come into account with these two, as both are similar to ours.
Left it all too late, if we have another couple points would have perhaps said yes, which makes the draws against Oldham and swindon all the more annoying earlier in the season. While just one more win in the last 10 weeks and we could all have been saying yes.

No the results the same. We are still in the same league.
