Out of the 4 teams in the top 6 now?

Bradford
Millwall
Walsall
Barnsley

Obviously only one of those can go up, so we are going to be stuck again with the other three.

Who would you prefer it to be in terms of them not an adversary to us next season?

Obvious one I would say would be Bradford. Agree? For me they are the most likely one to be challenging again next year.

Northampton will be a surprise package similar to Burton, but our biggest threat i fear will come from our manager's inabilities to develop a settled team.

Bit of a random one but Bristol Rovers IF they come up would be my pick to potentially do a Burton & challenge for promotions new rich owners guess it depends how seriously they invest in the summer.

Want Millwall to go up as not a nice place to visit.
However, Bradford have a terrible away end and very little options to have a pre game drink ( that Bradford Arms pub real dump).
Happy for Barnsley and Walsall to stay with us.
Talking if Barnsley, they gave done well considering where they were in the league at one stage.

Can't see Walsall challenging if they lose their 3 players in the summer and the rest it depends on the business they do in and out. The teams coming up I have no idea on them and the ones coming down 2 of the three are in turmoil, MKdons will go straight back up because they have Carl Baker:claping hands:

cut the policing hill in half if Millwall go up, but the old bill will be delighted as they will earn a fortune in overtime with so many Midlands clubs in the Championship.

Out of those 4 teams, Millwall would probably be one the favourites to win the league, that's excluding the relegated or promoted teams.

Won't Bradford have a really good budget though based on their crowds?

Gillingham seem to have blown it like us do they will lose Dack so they will be weaker.

Most of their crowd is ST and their early bird ST prices this season were £150 adults, and they usually sell 12-13k in the early bird prices, so I bet their ticket income is not that much higher than teams that have 7-9k. They will have another good season though as they've had a lot of stability over the last couple of years

Walsall fan here. If we don't do it this year, then we won't be up there next year. On our budget, the planets align to get us to a point of challenging every ten years or so. A mixture of cast-offs and decent kids sometimes come together to create a decent side, provided there's a manager around who is good enough to capitalise. If we don't make it though, that team gets dismantled very quickly (thank you Mr Bosman)

In terms of who WILL be up there next year. Sheff Utd will get it right one year, I think it will be next year. MK Dons (spit) will be strong unless Robinson leaves and either Charlton or Bolton will be up there too. Millwall and Barnsley have had great second halves to this season and I can't see that they need to sell, with Peterborough and Bristol Rovers as small clubs but with good budgets to make them competitive.

My top eight would be:-
Sheffield United
MK Dons
Millwall
Charlton
Peterborough
Barnsley
Bristol Rovers
Coventry

We'll be just under half way.

Forget about their really cheap prices. Good point.

Sheffield are overdue getting out of this league. Coming down although Bolton seem in freefall they'll have money to spend so can afford a total rebuild, MK Dons will be dangerous and Charlton I suspect will do nothing special. I suspect Walsall will resume to a mid table team if they don't go up though the play offs, Gillingham unsure of but I think Bradford and Barnsley will be there about.

Personally I'm expecting another tough season with it being tight at the top. Made this point a few times but 5th and 6th were 69 and 71 points last season and if Wigan finish top winning their remaining games their points tally would have only got them 3rd last season so this league is much tougher than previous.

need to get some stability and stop bringing in shite loanees who don't seem to care ,no one footballer is bigger than any one team ,develop a team and squad and use whats avalible , yesterday there was players getting a start before lads doing their upmost in the reserves ,. are we playing them to develop for other clubs to decide wether they are good enough , because we are the ones suffering for it . get josh windass in maybe . time to start building a side now ,then maybe we can stop worrying about about ourselves, and concentrate on who are our rivals

Think you may well be right.

Be interesting to see how much a threat Northampton will be next season too.

Bristol rovers have some wealthy backers I believe.

Lucky you, the planets align to get us to the point of challenging every 46years or so.

The guy who is the backer of Bristol Rovers had said he will out spend Manchester City to get Rovers to the top. Says he is a mad keen football fan just wants a team in the Premiership. How did they get him and we're stuck with that fucking split arse !!

Fair and honest statement. Not sure about Charlton though.
